Castlevania. Spectral Interlude - New High Quality ZX Spectrum game announced!

Have I got a retro gaming treat for you today, as Sanchez has announced that Castlevania : Spectral Interlude, which is based on Castlevania but a new standalone story is 95% ready. Originally developed in 1986 for the NES, Castlevania was an incredible action platformer that had you tasked with the defeating of the vampire Dracula. Thus with today's news you'll soon be able to play a brilliant Castlevania game on your ZX Spectrum!

As of yet we don't have a release date but the developers have mentioned that this ZX Spectrum release will have cool a Castlevania style music, lots of monsters, bosses and improved detailed graphics. What's more it's already fully English translated.

Even though I don't have a ZX Spectrum, this will be a game to be excited over as it's going to be developed by Sanchez who is well known for making cool ZX games such as Survivisection. I for one can't wait to play this.

As soon as we hear more, we will give you the heads up first!

( RELEASED - SEE UPDATE )

  1. According to the developer the game itself is finished, but translations need to be done including english spellcheck and spanish. So we are looking towards a 2015 release, hopefully.
