Laika on our twitter feed just informed us about a new game that is in development that requires you to explore space, type commands and generally contemplate your tiny existence in the vastness of space. According to PolClarissou, Even the Stars was originally created for the Venus Patrol’s Space Cowboy game jam that tries to give you a purpose in life, to explore and discover rather than getting getting old, lost and have no meaning.
Also according to the developers the game revolves more around the exploration rather than fighting and laser guns, so don't expect an Elite style combat and trade simulator either or one that plays to any similarities of FOFT.
Even the Stars is certainly an interesting game, I'll give it that! It's almost a game of art as you discover strange new buildings and enter commands like a text based adventure while adding new found places to your logbook for others to admire. But as for me it needed more, a lot more so at least it's still in development as a trial with possible future updates in the pipeline.
