Fat Beets - Rhythm puzzler gets a Kickstarter campaign

GIANT EVIL ROBOT have just given us the musical heads up about a Kickstarter campaign for a game that features not only Vegetables but also some damn fine tunes!. It's "Fat Beets", a rhythm puzzle game which features the best bits of games like Guitar Hero and mashes it up with the tile matching mechanics of puzzle games like Bejeweled.

Here's a bit more from the developer about the game :
FAT BEETS plays like most modern music games in that when the colored note comes up, you want to tap a beet of that color. But, unlike most games this isn't as simple as just pressing a button. The larger a cluster of beets you tap the more points you get, but beets are always moving and clearing out as you tap them. The goal is to keep your streak bonus multiplier up while getting the largest combos you can to get the highest score. The better a score you get the more coins you earn letting you buy more songs or power-ups that can either make the game more forgiving for new players or help get more points for more experienced players.

The developers are hoping for a $10,000 success goal through Kickstarter and will hopefully be available for PC and Android due Oct 2014. Fat Beets is looking to be a fun mash up of both Rhythm and Puzzle,  that gives the genre a damn good vegetable musical tune up, now kids can actually play with their food!
