Transcendence - Space Combat and Exploration V1.3 release!

Kronosaur Productions have just informed us about their latest v1.3 release for Transcendence, which is a single player, PC based RPG of space combat and exploration. For those of you who enjoyed games such as Star Control II or the mechanics of Nethack, then check out the latest release which features a full orchestral score!

Transcendence is a fine game indeed, as you explore a vast galaxy through procedurally generated systems, while fighting to the death in sometimes large space battles just to reach the Galactic Core. You can even loot wreckage to obtain more powerful items such as weapons and armour, or buy them at friendly stations. For those of you who want more than just exploration, you can even earn unique high tech weapons through missions for the Commonwealth or the Corporate Hierarchy!

So check the game out and download it for free!

  1. This game is better than the screenshot. Looks like it has mod support too.

  3. Hey, a very nice remake! Looks really awesome. Sadly I didn't played the original game at the Amiga. But I know some people who liked Transcendence a lot. Obviously I'll like them forward to your page. I just watched the movie, haha ;) ok, that was a bad one. But I'm curious about how many copies you sold of the expansion pack, because I think it's very underpriced. It look's like a niche product to me. Means not much but highly interested fans and they really don't care about the price.
And personally I think more background layers and sprites would be nice. A one-colored-Background is not that entertaining anymore :D But apart from that it's cool. There should be more good games like this one.
