Jaguar XJ220 - Brilliant Amiga racer now available for the PC

We haven't featured a TheCompany.PL release for awhile now and that has just changed today with the latest Amiga game to get the PC treatment in the form of a brilliant racer titled 'Jaguar XJ220'. Originally developed by CORE and released in 1992,  Jaguar XJ220 features fast paced racing across 12 different countries, with multiple races in each set to a lovely colourful backdrop of landscape and weather immersion such as fog and rain.

  1. Anyone else notice that many of the Company games come up FAILING virus check. I changed from MSSE to AVG AntiVirus and came back this evening from a few hours away to find my PC reporting 20 odd incidences of "Trojan Horse Crypt3.FRK".

  2. Nope, I use NOD 32 and not AVG which has been known to give out false readings.

  3. Thanks. I tried running them in Sandboxie but no dice. I have let AVG quarantine them to stop the damn messages but will try a few re-downloads and see if they come up clean.. if not maybe a new AV!

  4. Might be worth joining the forum and throwing them a message, or replying to one of the game files that AVG throws up a virus warning.

  5. Am doing so... and tried Panda AV and it found the same 17 files with different reported virus (same one but called different on diff AV). All are trojans. I am beginning to think this might not be a false reading. Next visit is Avast....

  6. Actually could you scan ALL your Company releases (I just assume you have them all!) with NOD32 as according to McAfee all the AVs find this one (Kryptik on NOD). I may just have picked something up... but strange it is only the Company files that have it on over 25TB of data!

  7. What fun I am having instead of doing my studies... Best AV according to independent tests and with least false positives is BitDefender... so... Yup, it found 12 Trojans it could not clean.... I am definitely gonna be asking them how they make their packages and why they cannot do so in such a way as to not either contain trojans or be flagged as such!

  8. Contact them it's the best way, as I said I've never had any issues

  9. Also thanks for the heads up and for checking! I'll make sure to direct your comments to the developer as well.

  10. Your link to the thread about Trojans was helpful (always)- it seems it is the v2.5 releases that show the problem. Bitdefender only dislikes them, no 2.6 releases.. so I better go check for 2.6 updates or suggest the "dodgy" 2.5s are re-done

    Hello,
false positive alarm (virus) in v2.5
exes is known to us. Problem is solved after update title to v2.6.
    Try to send
    any v2.5 to antyvirus lab.
