Bruce Lee II - An all time favourite gets an impressive C64 sequel

Hot off the press and just announced, 'Bruce Lee II' converted by Jonas Hulten is the very latest C64 title to appear that is set to wow the retro gaming crowd. Originally released as Bruce Lee in 1984 by Datasoft based on the famous motion picture martial artist Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee II by Jonas Hulten is a true C64 port of Bruno R Marcos's successor Bruce Lee II which appeared on the PC in 2013 and featured both an Amstrad CPC mode and a C64 mode which gave it that retro look.

According to the developer even if the PC version of Bruce Lee 2 looked like a C64 game, it was very difficult to run on a real C64.  The reasons are basically that the game contains a lot of features and also pushes the limits of the graphics hardware even if it looks simplistic. This conversion isn't perfect and some small things differ from the original due to hardware and effort limitations.

But don't let that disappoint, as this C64 conversion is simply awesome. It remains true to the core of a Bruce Lee game containing some pretty impressive detail, fine controls and a great soundtrack reminiscent of the original. Furthermore the game exists in two formats, a diskette version and an EasyFlash cartridge image and works on PAL or NTSC machines.

Available to download on this website HERE and if you have a C64 you've got to play this incredible release.

Update : A trainer release of Bruce Lee II + has also been released on CSDb

Credit goes to Bruno R Marcos for the original Bruce Lee II development and Jonas Hulten for the conversion.
