Tower 57 - Retro inspired shooter Amiga Kickstarter update!

Even though we have already done a big feature on Benitosub and artist Cyangmou's retro inspired shooter of 'Tower 57', which is currently going through a Kickstarter campaign. We are here to inform you of some very special news for Amiga owners, that came as a huge surprise by the retro gaming community just days ago. Not only is Tower 57 a PC, MAC and Linux Steam Greenlight success, but the developers have announced an Amiga port to be created by Daniel 'Daytona675x' Müßener, (who is known for coding the NG-Amiga Battle Squadron remake-ports, the Cherry-Darling games and who's currently also working on Warp3D).

With an agreement with the developer to handle the Amiga ports, the Kickstarter guys have made an official stretch goal of a low 1.000€ to make it happen. If it does, then Tower 57 will not only appear on AmigaOS4 but also MorphOS. Lets just hope this goes even further and owners of much older hardware such as the Amiga 500 or Amiga 1200 (AGA) also get a look in!

In regards to the other news for the update, we have some new Biolab screenshots to show you from the Kickstarter which currently seriously needs a real boost in pledges, as so far with only 10 days to go, they've only raised €29,168 pledged of a €45,000 goal.

Right from the start we of Indie Retro News have been in full support of Tower 57, it doesn't just have the charm and kick ass action of the Amiga classics but looks bloody lovely too! Lets just hope they do hit that Kickstarter goal and we can play it next year (March).
