Crystal Kingdom Dizzy is getting a ZX Spectrum remake!

If you're a Dizzy fan like myself, then surely this weekend has been pretty much all you could want in the latest retro Dizzy gaming news. We've had the recent ' The story of the Oliver Twins ' book Kickstarter launch by Chris Wilkins, the new(ish) game by The Oliver Twins ' Wonderland Dizzy ' and now we have the latest announcement of the ZX Spectrum remake of ' Crystal Kingdom Dizzy ' by Evgeniy Barskiy and Dmitri Ponomarjov!

Although Adam Markey, Pogie and Simon Rice have already done a Crystal Kingdom Dizzy remake for the PC using the Dizzy Age engine (link) . This Dizzy project is just for the ZX Spectrum, and according to the team is an accurate remake of the 7th-part, but will feature a 50fps engine, renewed graphics, more animated sprites, and if you listen to the video below, a lovely AY music conversion.

Also the game will be working for 128/+2/+3 machines only and so far from what has been released is just tech demo footage, with more development that has to be done before it's released at some point this year(?). As soon as we know more, we will give you the Dizzy heads up!
