Jump Ninja - A frustrating play of Wanax's new C64 preview

Another C64 release to mention, and this one was released last week, is Wanax's new C64 game preview of ' Jump Ninja ', that has been scene supplied and trained by Atlantis and the Fantastic 4 Cracking Group. What plays like a really frustrating Flappy Bird clone as in timing is everything and if you're not accurate you have to restart, Jump Ninja was developed for his son Francesco hoping this might be a game to attract a new generation of C64 users.

Now if his son is anything like me, he will be frustrated very quickly as I can't stand these types of games, Flappy Bird is on my top most hated list! I didn't exactly know what I was getting myself into either, until I actually played this game. You basically start off with a screen that constantly scrolls and you have to jump from each platform precisely or you die. This is made worse by a laggy character response (WinVice), being pushed back by wind and if you touch the platform other than right on top, you die again. True it's not like the button mashing game of Flappy, but the timing is, the frustration is, and the non stop push is there also.

But as with any game, opinions differ and considering it's still a preview, I'm sure there's going to be a lot more added features in the future!
