Salamander - Konami's Shoot Em Up improved on the MSX2

The weather is naff outside as it's cold and it's wet but thankfully to warm us up and push our adrenaline through the roof, is the recent improved MSX release of the great shoot em up game ' Salamander ', which was released in the late 80s from the Arcades as a spin off from Gradius by that famous company ' Konami'. Although Salamander was released on many other systems such as the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum, the MSX version did not feature smooth scrolling and now thanks to Victor an enhanced version with smooth scrolling and bug fixes was released but for the MSX2.

Other notable improvements include turbo fixes, a dynamic Vsync, ripple Laser fixes, new colours, a voice set with second SCC inserted, Gradius 2 included to get the ' Crystal Breeze ' for a happy end, an invincible mode and in game keys for extra options. Also as an added bonus, the game is free to play online through your browser, or if you so wish, you can find the Salamander (1987) (Konami) (J).rom file and patch it with the IPS download.

* Known issues:
- Some enemies don't move correctly with scroll.
