Alepos Arkoudis recently contacted us via our Facebook page of a new NES style platformer that is in development for both PC and MAC by MekaSkull and Pentadrangle. Titled as ' Cyber Shadow ', this game mixes the best bits of Metroid, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden and Megaman and puts you in control of a mighty warrior slashing your way through the armies of mechanical fiends to free your clan and discover what's happened during your rather long hibernation.
Cyber Shadow is being developed using construct 2 and does try to follow NES limitations, even so far as to have NES style controls with just two buttons. Furthermore your character will have a number of weapons at is disposal such as throwing stars, explosive kunai, rising fire and even lightning strikes, with health and skill point upgrades available to give you that extra helping hand.
The team behind the game has also said at its current stage of development, four levels are done, 8 bosses are ready to be defeated and there are 4 special skills. Sadly that's all the info we have on Cyber Shadow, but from everything we've seen so far, it's looking pretty damn impressive indeed. Let's just hope the eventual Steam release is a hit with both the retro and the indie fan alike.
