Barbarian CPC - Head chopping classic playable on the PC Engine

Barbarian was first released in 1989 for the C64 and later ported to other systems including the Acorn, Amiga, Amstrad, Atari, Apple II, BBC Micro, MS-DOS and ZX Spectrum. It was a fine game indeed that featured a one to two player mode as each Barbarian faced each other off in deadly combat, that usually ended up with a head being chopped off and kicked to one side. Such an incredible game indeed, and it is no wonder a fan by the name of barbarian.1987 has made available each version such as today's CPC release, playable on many other platforms including the PC Engine.

Now we have mentioned the other versions before including the BarbarianCPCMegadrive release, which has the CPC DeathSword128 graphic pack and enables the game to be played on an emulator such as Kega Fusion or even a real megadrive. But this news is for the PC Engine, as the creator has already finished the C64, ZX, PC and Amiga on the PC Engine and today has made available the kick ass CPC port using Huc 3.21, a nice C compiler. Also because he's a rather nice bloke, he's also made available every rom for download via his main website.
