Crystal Kingdom Dizzy - Long awaited Dizzy remake dev'd over past several years arrives on the ZX Spectrum 128k!

Dizzy fans it's time to really celebrate the 30 year anniversary of Dizzy in a really big way, as a very special Dizzy remake of ' Crystal Kingdom Dizzy ' on the ZX Spectrum, has only moments ago appeared in our news feed. The original CKD was first released in 1992 on a multitude of systems in a completely different graphical pallet than we were used to and some say worse than most of the other 8-bit Dizzy games of the time. But now that is all about to change as this ZX Spectrum version looks to be the best 8-bit styled version yet!

This release took us completely by surprise, as if we've known about the development earlier, I think this would've been the most eagerly awaited of upcoming Dizzy games on a retro system yet. Developed over several years, this latest remake features an original 50fps engine, written from scratch, new original graphics inspired by the Amiga version, an unbelievably lush loading screen, colour and detailed illustrations between levels, 136 totally reworked locations, 6 beautiful AY-melodies and more that will surely drop a few jaws!

Also as an extra note to the games development, this wasn't created by just once guy, but it was programmed by Evgeniy Barskiy, with in game graphics by Dmitri Ponomarjov, GUI design and menu by Oleg Origin, Music by Sergey Kosov, title picture by Marco Antonio Del Campo, and additional team work listed in the credits on the main site!

What an amazing Easter gift for all Dizzy gamers and retro gamers alike, so head on over to the download page and check it out on your ZX Spectrum 128k!
