Unlike last time when we thought Amiga Forever 7 was out and turned out to be a leaked beta changelog from an official EAB moderator, we are pleased to factually announce the high grade integrated Amiga emulator of 'AMIKIT X' is being released today Friday 19th May 2017. Originally developed as a main operating system for A.L.I.C.E. (A Laptop Incorporating Classic Experience), AmiKit has turned into a compilation of more than 350 pre-installed Amiga programs. An integrated emulator experience as a high-end AmigaOS configuration on Windows, Mac OS, Linux or Android systems

According to Amiga Future who has said it is now released, although the site as from this post states 6 hours till launch. Amikit X has a number of new features that really make it stand out from the crowd. Besides a  "Rabbit Hole" feature enabling you to launch Windows or Mac applications on emulated Amiga desktops, AmiKit X is also bringing new updates to 'killer' Amiga programs like AfA_OS, MCP, AmiStart and others, as well as a new Magic User Interface 5 ( MUI apps look beautiful in HD), Another World classic is included, Tyrian DOS ported over to the Amiga, and a fresh new look of the AmiKit package with a big 50% improvement in speed.
