Gandalf - An in dev ZX Spectrum platformer that looks rather nice indeed!

As many of  you know by now that the ZX-DEV Conversions compo had recently been launched and gave you the chance to create awesome games where the contestants had to submit conversions from other games from other platforms, from movies, cartoons, books and even comics! Once such game that is known as ' Gandalf 'by cmgonzalez, really appealed to us as it is not only inspired by Super Mario Bros, but is based on Gandalf, using the Nirvana+ engine and it looks to feature some rather gorgeous ZX graphics indeed.

Thankfully a playable demo is available to give you an early impression of the game but already we can tell this is going to be one of the highlights of the ZX Dev Conversion competition. Not only does it have some rather nice detailed tilesets such as the platforms, backgrounds and items, but there's even lava that is animated which will need to be avoided once the full game comes out.

As for what is playable, you can walk, jump, climb ladders, collect items, but you can't die, the score doesn't increase and if you jump off screen at the top, the game crashes.... Other than that, I can't wait for this one!
