Monster World RPG - A charming RPG inspired by the Monster World/Wonder Boy series

I seriously can't believe I missed out on this when it was launched in August of this year, as we have only just found out there has been a release of the 'Monster World RPG'; a large fan game developed using RpgMaker2003, and inspired by the 1980's Monster World/Wonder Boy series. Now if you've been following our site for sometime, you would've know that not only was there an enhanced Amiga alpha version of Wonderboy in Monster Land, but Wonderboy in Monster Land was released and Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom is still in development. This latest Wonder Boy goes a way from the platforming style however and goes all out RPG, which for some might be a good thing or a bad thing!

Funnily enough I used to love playing that fantastic platformer ' Wonder Boy ' designed by Ryuichi Nishizawa. Although it started its life as a skateboard rock jumping and axe bashing platformer, it did later became the adventure platformer with RPG elements ' Wonderboy in Monster Land ' that many of us know and love to this day. This game however isn't just a game made with RPGMaker, but has had years of development and features, colorful graphics & sprites bigger than normal for a rpgmaker videogame, a custom menu with info about monster, info, character (online guide), full customizable hero with spells, gears and genes, every party member has his unique mini-game to play and according to the developers Wonder Boy & Monster World fans can't miss this game!
