Dungeon Crawlers as you well know are my personal favourite, from the legends that are Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder, to the more modern Legend of Grimrock, and the upcoming Aeon of Sands. But this one is a bit of an eye opener, as if you think an Amstrad CPC crawler is impressive wait to you see this work in progress game called ' Spice of the Ancients ', which is being coded for the Atari 7800 by BHB Smith!
Now don't get your hopes up the game isn't going to be finished any time soon as there's still a lot of development time to come. But from the video above, there's an impressive amount of work gone into it, as it has a great sound track, you can walk through a couple of zones, fight an enemy, and there's even flickering candles giving it that Dungeon Master feeling.
