Mister Kung Fu - A kick ass Kung Fu Master conversion via ZX-Dev-MIA-Remakes compo

With the end of the year fast approaching, you would be forgiven for thinking there wouldn't be anymore fantastic games released, especially as the Christmas rush had ended and New Years Eve is only tomorrow. Well boy do we have surprise for you! As if you followed our previous write up regarding Mister Kung Fu; a full conversion of the 1980's side-scrolling beat 'em up game Kung Fu Master, which appeared on many different systems such as the ZX Spectrum. You'll be overjoyed to learn that Uprising Games has officially released version 1.0 via the ZX-Dev M.I.A / Remakes competition.

As we said before the original ZX Spectrum version wasn't the greatest of games, with many saying it was down right terrible featuring lack luster flickering graphics, awful control, iffy scrolling and poor hit detection. But this new conversion by eltonbird looks most impressive indeed, and many would say as the game should've looked all those years ago.

Yes indeed this truely is a fantastic conversion for the ZX Spectrum, as not is it running a smooth 50 frames per second giving us smooth gameplay and responsive controls, but there are lots of floors to fight on, a multitude of bosses to ass kick, and all the arcade enemy types you could wish for all fitting a 48k memory profile. Although for the best of both worlds, make sure to load the game up on a 128k ZX spectrum for a great soundtrack by Elton Bird!
