Cosmic Force - Successfully funded C64 Kickstarter has 3 days left!

A brand new C64 game will be produced by Steven Fletcher and Wavem Studios. After their incredible journey talking to devs, engineers and artists from Commodore's history in the immensely enjoyable documentary: The Commodore Story (2017), Steven has created another successful Kickstarter campaign for Cosmic Force. A brand new C64 shootemup inspired by Galaxian, Defender and Star Wars. The game's stages will be split into 3 distinct game types - each borrowing the key game mechanics from these classic arcade shootemups.

The legendary Rob Hubbard and Jason Page (Uridium 2, Fire & Ice) will also be supplying the game's music.  The game will even include an online high score code generator which will allow the C64s very first globabl online high score table - a killer feature for a game like this.  If like me you like to collect all those awesome new C64 physical releases you'll be pleased to know that there's still time to back the project (4 days at time of writing) but only if you're quick! #

Perks of Kickstarting the project include a physical cartridge or floppy disk boxed version compatible with stock C64 hardware, Ultimate64 or the Commodore Reloaded.  A USB Cassette or digital download versions for playing on a PC with emulation.  Other unique features of this new Kickstarter is Wavem Studios will be recording developer diary videos and a bluray making of documentary available to backers (see Kickstarter pages for more details on the perks).

Those in the UK on 20th July 2019 will also be able to play a demo version at RetCon - The Retro Gaming Festival, Greenford.
