Galagon - An Arcade classic as an upcoming Atari 2600 port gets a great demo update

Remember when we posted about the 1981 Arcade classic of ' Galaga ' was coming to the Atari 2600 as a high quality Arcade port by Champ Games? Well you'll be happy to learn that this game , originally developed and published by  Namco Japan and by Midway in North America in 1981, has been further updated on the Atari 2600 as a version 2 port demo with new features such as a Challenge Mode and a CO-OP Mode!

Currently available as a demo version 2 ROM with a name of Galagon and a possible cart down the line. The port of this fine game was developed throughout this year so far by Nathan Strum (graphics, game design), Ross Keenum (music and sound) AND johnnywc (design and programming). The game will feature 1 or 2 players either alternating or 2 player co-op, multiple skill levels such as novice or standard, a challenge mode with only challenge stages, all enemies from the arcade version, all music and sound from the arcade, a high score system, multi-tap support, and much much more!
