If you don't have a C64, but a Vic20 with a 3K RAM expansion. Then you might be interested to know, that this week Hewco64 released the arcade maze game ' Vic Nibbler ' for the Commodore Vic 20. This game available to download for free, is a remake of the 1982 Arcade game ' Nibbler ' by Rock-Ola, which in itself was the first notable game to offer scores over 1 billion.
This game is very similar to snake with a mix of Pacman, as you must traverse a maze like screen while eating as much food as possible to clear the level. What makes it very difficult in this game, is the fact that not only do you have to deal with a timer that speeds up rapidly if you wait too long, but with every bite taken, your tail gets longer and you may end up eating yourself!
How to play Nibbler
Nibbler is easy to play, but difficult to beat!
Clear each maze before time runs out
Do not let Nibbler bite itself
Nibbler does not stop at corners
Nibbler grows longer when it eats
Time decreases faster when nibbler does not eat
Bonus is time left at end of wave
Extra Nibbler awarded after 4 waves
Vic Nibbler can be played with keys (Q,A,O,P) or with a joystick.
