Risky Rick - Rick Dangerous port is coming to the MSX (pre-order available)

We've always had a soft spot for that classic Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum and DOS game 'Rick Dangerous'; a very challenging action platformer from the late 80's, that made you feel like an Indiana Jones character traversing dangerous locations such as caves and temples while avoiding the bad guys and deadly boulders and spiked traps. Well if you remember this fine game (some people didn't like it) you'll be overjoyed to learn that not only did it appear as a port on the CBS Colecovision, but the same team will be bringing the game to the MSX as of December 25th with a physical edition due March 2020.

Work In Progress. Video from the ColecoVision version

In the game you play as Dr. Walter “Risky” Rickenbacker, Jr. a young professor of archaeology, lecturing on ancient civilizations. At the opportunity to recover artifacts, he transforms into an Indiana Jones-like adventurer. Hat and all. The game will feature enhanced resolution colourful graphics, background to foreground display priority, hardware scrolling screen room levels, freezing-free sound effects samples and much more.
