Megamania - Atari 2600 game gets a full C64 conversion by Arla Games

We've certainly had our fair share of conversions and ports over to the C64 this year, especially with games being mentioned such Atic Atac, Fire, Crackpots, King's Valley+ and even Donkey Kong Jr Game and Watch to name but many we've had the pleasure of playing. Well now another game has appeared in our inbox, albiet a bit late by us (woops sorry!), as both Saberman and Milo has told us Arla Games have converted/ported Megamania from the Atari 2600 over to the C64.

According to the wikipedia for this game, as it's not one I've played growing up. Megamania was originally an Atari 2600 game by Steve Cartwright and published by Activision in 1982. Various versions were released for the Atari 5200 and Atari 8-bit family in 1983, with Megamania being similar to Sega's 1981 arcade title Astro Blaster : "Both games have nearly identical patterns of approaching enemies with the player relying on an "energy" meter. The player's ships are remarkably similar in both games". And that's pretty much the main history for the game, but for instructions and developer notes from the creator of other great titles such as Caveman, make sure to visit the link below.
