Galaga - An Arcade classic as an early C64 preview by Arlasoft

Galaga has appeared on Indie Retro News so many times lately, it appeared as an Atari 2600 port by Champ Games and even a more recent Amiga demake by Pink and Fade One. But now the C64 is getting in on the Arcade fun, as we've recently been told by Per Ola during the time of our internet outage (damn it!), that Arlasoft has released an early Galaga preview for the C64 complete with sound effects, bullets and waves of deadly enemies.

If you've not heard of Galaga before, this game was originally developed and published by Namco Japan and by Midway in North America in 1981 as the sequel to the 1979 game Galaxian. The game puts you in control of a mighty spaceship that must destroy waves of enemy formations that are out to destroy or capture you. As for the preview version released by Arlasoft, he has done a very detailed write up on his main site, but the developer is asking for feedback on how it feels compared to the arcade, how much interest there is, and any bugs you come across.
