Lava 16k - A 2014 ZX Spectrum BASIC game speed enhanced in assembly language for 16K

Way back in 2014 a game was released developed in BASIC that many who played it, said the game was incredibly slow! That game was called 'Lava'. Well today as thanks to a friendly heads up, we've been told that zosya, who were behind games such as Travel Through Time Volume 1 and The Dark Lost Pages, have released Lava 16k; A new version of the game speed enhanced in assembly language for 16K

While the creators have said that the BASIC version of this game was made in 2014 for 48K and the machine code version requires only 16k, they have also said that the game was re-written in assembly language to make it so much faster, games for 16K are quite rare so this is equally impressive, and while gameplay is very similar, there are still many differences due to the increased speed and features of programming language. In general, visually the game looks identical!
