Isle of the Deranged - Large 15+ hour game play mod for Legend of Grimrock 2

I was talking to my retro gaming friends the other day about which games were the best dungeon crawlers and the general response was between Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and Lands of Lore. But ask the modern gamer and every single time they say to me Legend of Grimrock! Which is pretty interesting as Legend of Grimrock is almost as good as those classics but bang up to date with modern features. So to improve upon the greatness of LOG 2, we have 'Isle of Deranged'; a very large 15 hour game mod that was released this month!

Legend of Grimrock 2 is an old-school grid-based first-person dungeon crawler all wrapped up in state of the art visuals and high quality audio. The first game was a huge success story and it resurrected the grid-based first-person dungeon crawler genre and brought it up into the light. It gave fans of the genre a much appreciated blast from the past, and introduced it to a new generation of crawlerheads. In my world only one type of dungeon crawler exist; the grid-based first-person one. I have played virtually every dungeon crawler since the early 80’s, so when I was asked to review Grimrock 2, I was all over it like white on rice!

As a huge fan of Lands of Lore, Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Legend of Grimrock 2, developed by Almost Human Ltd is now officially in Beta. A sequel to the incredible Legend of Grimrock, which sold well over 600,000 copies world wide, will have all new game features, enemies, new levels and outdoor levels which was an awesome experience in both Eye of the Beholder 2 and Lands of Lore.

Hot off the press, The Finnish indie developer "Almost Human ", have released the latest update for the upcoming Legend of Grimrock 2, in which we can clearly see they are going to have outside game play! The prequel was a 3D grid-based dungeon crawler inspired by classic 1980s and 1990s action role-playing games such as Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. It was a massive hit in 2012 and I'm sure LOG 2 will be a hit as well.
