Galaga - An Arcade classic as an upcoming Atari 2600 port looks most impressive!

Prepare to have your minds blown, especially if you have an Atari 2600! As we've been told by a good friend of ours that the 1981 classic Arcade game of ' Galaga ', is coming to the Atari 2600 as a high quality Arcade port by Champ Games. This game originally developed and published by Namco Japan and by Midway in North America in 1981, as the sequel to the 1979 game Galaxian. Puts you in control of a mighty spaceship that must destroy waves of enemy formations that are out to destroy or capture you!

Currently available as a demo ROM with a possible cart down the line. The port of this fine game was developed over the last 6 weeks by Nathan Strum (graphics, game design), Ross Keenum (music and sound) and johnnywc (design and programming). The game will feature 1 or 2 players either alternating or 2 player co-op (planned), multiple skill levels such as novice or standard, a challenge mode with only challenge stages, all enemies from the arcade version, all music and sound from the arcade, a high score system, multi-tap support, and much much more!
