L'abbaye Des Morts (Abbey(s) of the Dead) - Indie Retro News C64 Game of the Year 2019 is coming to the Amiga

If you've been following Indie Retro News throughout these last few years, you would've known about Locomalito's awesome retro styled platformer 'L'Abbaye des Morts'; a fantastic game which was ported by different teams over to systems such as the OS 4, C64, NES, and even the Sega Mega Drive. Well it's classic Amiga's that are going to get a mention for this news update, as we have been informed by UltraNarwhal through Twitter, that he is working on an expanded port of Abbey(s) of the dead for the Amiga 1MB and above.

L'abbaye Des Morts (Abbey(s) of the Dead) is a game that no Amiga gamer should miss. As not only is it being created using Earok's excellent Scorpion engine, but it will feature redrawn Amiga graphics, a whole new alternative map with new stuff not featured in the original game, more than 20 challenging rooms, multiple enemy types such as eeeek A DRAGON!, secret passages and hidden rooms, and pretty much everything else that made this retro-styled platformer so good on the PC and the other ports mentioned above.

    1. ....every C64 version has shorter load times as its Amiga counterpart.
Until you limit the Amiga version to 64k, then the Amiga is faster in loading as well.

  2. It was even released on a rather exotic platform Atari Falcon:

I must finally try this (on Falcon of course :) ) as this game looks fabulous and seems to have great atmosphere. Definitely my cup of tea.
