Wings of Fear - A WIP top scrolling WW1 Shoot 'em up from Roar Tjørhom gets a new demo!

I have a soft spot for shoot 'em ups on the Amiga, especially games such as the fantastic Banshee, or my personal favorites Project-X and R-Type. Well thanks to another heads up from the developer known as Roartj(Roar Tjørhom), we've been told that not only is he still working on the awesome WW1 Shoot 'em up called 'Wings of Fear', but this teased game has recently got another BIG demo for you to download and try right now on your Commodore Amiga.

And here's the full details. "I am very pleased to announce that my second playable demo is now available. Demo version 3.01 of Wings of Fear contains 3 levels, 3 bonus stages and 3 bosses. I have been so lucky to have Frank Ewil Larsen alias Curt_Cool make a brand new song for my game as well. "Wings of Hear" Thank you so much. This demo will probably be the last demo before the full game is released hopefully at the end of this year, time will tell".

Furthermore he goes on to say. "I again have to mention Michael Dawns alias Mixelslab who has been a super dude and helping me a lot with the code and given me great advice. Thanks to Indie Retro News  you have been so positive and service minded. I am also very grateful to have been in an article in the may issue of Zzap Amiga that was so surreal.  Thanks to Amiga Vault for making a WHDload version of everything I uploaded here on my page.  Thanks to everyone who has streamed and played my game so far, Morgan Just Games, Pintz and Amigas, AmigaBill and Saaberman  Retro News. And of course last but not least thanks  to all my testers and helpful friends for feedback and constructive criticism with solutions on how to solve problems or improve my game!"

  1. I like the pixel art and the choice of WW1. The plane is a bit slow. The game needs the use of a second button. The fuel doesn't last enough time, it's boring. Boss 1 way too hard.

  2. Every new update further improves the game.
I am very much interested in the final version, it looks like good old Amiga fun.

  3. I think the fuel should go down slower, then we wouldn't have to hear the 'Repair and Fuel' all the time. What do you need the Repair for? Doesn't a bullet kill you straight out...? The first boss you lost six lives, the missiles the boss fires shouldn't be guided and lock back onto you. The way I see it, the only way to beat the boss is to keep to the bottom of the screen, as the missiles can't guide back onto you. Anyway, keep up the good work, maybe balance the gameplay more.
