Jail Break - A 1986 Arcade game is still coming to the Amiga via JOTD [UPDATE]

Well this is brilliant news, as I found out yesterday by a good friend of ours that the 1986 Arcade game called 'Jail Break', which was also released on many different systems such as the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum, is still coming to the Amiga as an arcade conversion/port by JOTD. The same developer who also released many other games such as Elevator Action, Super Xevious 1200, Hyper Sports and many more. In light of this news, provided below is some early footage from the game which wasn't created using the Scorpion Engine ;).

If you've never played the game before ( I haven't ), here's the game described by the Wikipedia page. "A 2.5D side scrolling shooter video game where the player controls a cop on foot. The objective of the game is to kill the numerous escaped prisoners along the way while rescuing civilians to earn points. There are two main types of enemies in the game; the ones wearing black and white stripped prisoner pants attack by tossing molotov cocktails at the player, while the ones wearing red and white stripped pants carry a gun and can shoot fast traveling projectiles. The game is comprised of five stages: the street, a park, the harbor, the bridge, and finally inside the jail."

UPDATE : Checking the EAB forums today, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this game has received its first Alpha for you try on your Amiga. As such here is what JOTD had to say. "I'm struggling with making the game work again. Some OCS merge broke it and I'm in a kind of meltdown ATM with work taking its toll (but fortunately suddenly very interesting, with emulation, assembly, and everything I love), lots of almost finished games that people are waiting after and whdload minimal service to do. So here's an old version of alpha JailBreak that was sitting on my hard drive. I'll fix the sources but in the meantime you can enjoy that version (well, if you don't die after 1 minute because it's super hard). I know Don Adan will enjoy it at least."
