King Arthur: Rise of the Round Table - Sword slashing Amiga CD32 game inspired by Moonstone! ( Work in Progress )

Another interesting news story has just hit our inbox and one I think Commodore Amiga gamers across the globe will loading up when it's finished, is the recently announced Amiga CD32 game called 'King Arthur: Rise of the Round Table'; A game in which the creator says is "an action RPG inspired by Moonstone but still very much in the middle of development". To coincide with this news, we've got some brand new footage of this work in progress game below thanks to Saberman.

Wrong Way Back - An Escape room game released for the Amiga CD32

If you fancy loading up a bit of horror this weekend, then make sure to check out the latest Amiga CD32 release of 'Wrong Way Back' by Locked Door Puzzle. A new game, in which the creator says "is about a woman trapped in a strange room trying to find her way home". To coincide with this Amiga news update, Saberman has done a video showing a small walkthrough of the game and you can even check out the game through the creators itch io web page.

Inviyya II : Hyperblaster - Tigerskunk's eagerly awaited sequel to an incredible Amiga Shoot 'em up gets new footage (Amiga/Neo Geo)

If you have played TIGERSKUNK's awesome side scrolling shoot 'em up of Inviyya, an incredible game that not only won IRN Game of the Year 2021, but many of those who played it thought it was one of the best games on the Amiga, then this latest news story is for you! As we've recently found out through Facebook, that Tigerskunk has shown off some brand new footage of the eagerly awaited sequel of Inviyya II - Hyperblaster. Yet another awesome looking Shoot em up which is coming to the Amiga 1200, 4000, CD32 and Neo Geo.

International Amiga Day - The day has come to celebrate the Amiga!

It's time to have an Amiga party as throughout the Commodore Amiga Facebook they are celebrating  the 'International Amiga Day 2022' for May 31st, which celebrates over 30 years of Amiga fun! The retro community want to keep the Commodore Amiga name alive and what better way to do that than an anniversary to the day dedicated to that great system with all the games being played, and hardware being used from the A500 to the A1200, to the CD32 to the A4000. If you lived during that era of gaming then it was one of the greatest moments in our retro history.

Tales of Gorluth III - The Third and Final Chapter is now available for the Amiga CD32/CDROM and IndieGO!

AMIworx are back in the news this week as they have recently informed the Amiga community that their previously playable (as a demo) of the Action RPG game 'Tales of Gorluth III", is now available for ordering for the Amiga CD32 and indieGO! Retro Console. For those of you who haven't heard of this before, 'Tales of Gorluth III' is the third and final chapter in the series which was developed by AMIworx featuring high quality graphics and RPG charm should not be missed.

Aztec Challenge CD32 - 1982 challenging classic may be coming to the Amiga!


A double heads up for Sunday, as we've not only been told by Saberman, but as of this afternoon, Per Ola has also mentioned that the classic game of 'Aztec Challenge' may be coming to the Commodore Amiga CD32 as a remake developed by Cobe, D4rk 3lf and Bluegestalt. If you've not heard of this game before, it was originally released in 1982 by Paul Norman, and see's your character through seven different dangerous levels such as spear throwing aztecs, climbing dangerous stairs, and the crossing of a deadly bridge.

PoNG 4K - A wicked Amiga CD32 Pong stye game is now available


It's a Monday and what does that mean? A new week full of awesome retro games to play! First up and one we have featured before as a 3rd place winner at RetroKomp 2018, is Cobe, Koyot1222 and Goatmare's Amiga CD 32 game of 'PoNG4K'; a very fancy multiplayer styled Pong game, as a nod to a great classic released all the way back in the early 70s'!

In the 1970's Bushnell and another guy called Alcorn released a Pong prototype at a local bar named Andy Capp's Tavern, yet it wasn't until 1975 and through a long history that Pong actually appeared in our homes, and on my very own Atari 2600. Thankfully others see Pong as a truely great game for its time and still loved to this day, as next month (June), Cobe, Koyot1222 and Goatmare will be releasing a boxed CD32 edition of their previous release as PoNG4K; a multiplayer Pong that's more than just a clone!

SkillGrid - A wicked AGA Shoot em up released for the Commodore Amiga


Even more Amiga news for this week and one I think you'll agree is pretty damn awesome! As we've just been told by RGCD that the previously work in progress Shoot em up called ' SkillGrid ', has just been released and can be purchased through the RETREAM and or RGCD website. This game of which we have featured before, is an endless score-attack vertical shoot 'em up that has been in development by RETREAM and works on an Amiga 1200/4000 and cd32!

External CD drive for the Amiga 1200? Take my money now!


Another top quality announcement has hit our inbox, as moments ago we found out through the Commodore Amiga Facebook group, that a developer by the name of Marc G. Falconer is working on an external CD based device for the Commodore Amiga! Yes indeed with the unreleased CD1200 not making an appearance in our homes and hacking the internal Amiga not to everyones liking. Marc G. Falconer aims to please with his external CD Drive through IDE and custom based case.

Total Carnage CD32: Special Edition released by Earok


If you've got an Amiga CD32 on hand, or an Amiga Emulator installed then you'll be overjoyed with this news. As thanks to a great heads up by Per-Ola Eriksson, we've been told Earok has released the Total Carnage CD32 Special Edition; which is an enhanced edition of the 1994 game Total Carnage, featuring a decent scope of improvements such as gameplay, bombs, continues, graphical fixes and a new audio addition by JMD!

CD32 and Beer multiplayer compilation Final Edition is now available


After many months of featuring on Indie Retro News, it is time to announce as thanks to a heads up by Earok, that the Final Edition of the CD32 and Beer Multiplayer Compilation has been released for all to enjoy.  Yes indeed a compilation that is packed full of genres such as platformers, sports, strategy and RPG games, is now packed with even further games with hit releases such as Barbarian Plus and Tanks Furry!

CD32 and Beer multiplayer compilation March 19th edition!


Another update via the EAB forums as just we've been told the CD32 and Beer multiplayer compilation March 19th edition, has since been released with the final update coming next Month.  Once again this is a new compilation of awesome games for your CD32, however with this new edition comes one on one fighting games, as opposed to the scrolling beat-em-ups, which were in an older pack.

SkillGrid - AGA Shoot em up coming to the Amiga gets new footage


Even more Amiga news for a Monday and one I think you'll agree is pretty damn awesome! As we've just been told the upcoming Shoot em up called ' SkillGrid ', has just received a massive gameplay trailer showing just how cool this Amiga game actually looks. This game in development by RETREM is an endless score-attack vertical shoot 'em up which is currently in development, and will be released (hopefully) in Q1 2019.

CD32 and Beer multiplayer compilation January 19 edition!


Another month and another CD32 and Beer Multiplayer compilation, and unlike the previous ones we mentioned featuring platformers, racers, vehicular shooters, sports and fighters this one is for the people who like strategy and even RPG's! Yes indeed Earok is back with another great Amiga CD32 pack and for those of you who love a good strategy or RPG will be pleased to learn this one doesn't just have the classic ' The Settlers ' game, but 'Star Control' and even 'BloodWych'!

2018 Amiga Collection - An Earok end of year Amiga CD32 special


Amiga owners are you ready for possibly the best end of year present for the Amiga yet? Well you should be, as just moments ago thanks to a heads up by our good friend Earok, he has released the 2018 Amiga Collection; A large pack of Amiga games all released in 2018 that have been jam packed onto a single CD for Amiga CD32 owners across the globe.... PS Emulation is perfectly fine too ;)

The Kiwi's Tale - A commercial length platformer for A1200/CD32, a fan-sequel to The New Zealand story! [UPDATE]


You can just tell it's Christmas especially with all these fantastic games coming out at once. And sure enough as a Christmas gift to you all, Earok has released the A1200 and CD32 version of ' The Kiwi's Tale '; a commercial length platformer for the Amiga1200 and CD32, as a fan-sequel to The New Zealand story and itself an almost 1-1 conversion of a freeware PC title from the late 2000s. Earok has noted this game is partly an apology for not having completed AlarCity (yet), but it's also something he's wanted to bring to the Amiga for some time - as well as being an opportunity to train in new skills for Amiga game development.

Unofficial CD32 Release - The Ultimate Lemmings Collection from Amiga Jay


During the early part of 2016, it was the 25th Anniversary of DMA Design's ' Lemmings '. A game published by Psygnosis way back in the early 90's for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC and regarded by many as one of the greatest games ever and featured many blue, green haired Lemmings that could be blown up, ripped apart and dropped from the highest of points before they even hope to reach that exit. Lemmings will live on through many years to come and as such thanks to Amiga Jay in celebration of this fantastic game series, he has made available The Ultimate Lemmings Collection; an unofficial Amiga CD32 that's packed full of splattered Lemming goodness.

Bruce Lee inspired game ' Tiger Claw ' arriving on the Amiga before Christmas


Well this is fabulous news, as earlier today we found out that RGCD's brilliant Bruce Lee inspired game 'Tiger Claw', will be coming to the Amiga and Amiga CD32 just in time for Christmas. This game was originally released for the C64 developed by Lazycow and Saul Cross with an exclusive release on cartridge by RGCD for backers of the C64 in Pixels Kickstarter, before it became available to the general public as a digital download.
