Mighty Castle Adventure - A Castlevania fan game is still coming to the Amstrad CPC!

Castlevania has been featured many times on Indie Retro News, which is no surprise as pretty much every game in the series going right back to the first game can be picked up and enjoyed by all. But here's another update you might like to know about if you love this classic game series. As we have been told that yogtze is still working on a Castlevania game for the Amstrad CPC called 'Mighty Castle Adventure'; a game that can be seen in the video provided by Xenomorph.

Tenebra 2 - An enjoyable game by Haplo has now appeared on the Amstrad!

We've recently been contacted by Saberman in our inbox, that the atmospheric game of Tenebra 2 by Haplo, which was originally released for the Amiga, Commodore 64, MSX, Plus/4 and ZX Spectrum has now arrived on the Amstrad CPC. As in the words of the creator "This is a direct sequel to my popular game Tenebra, with many exciting new game play elements, including a portal gun!". Stinger - The eighth home-brew game by Fabrizio Caruso for all 8bit systems?

If you have an Amstrad CPC, C16, C64 or any of the other systems listed via the main page then this news is going to surprise you, as trawling through the Plus/4 world Facebook page, we've found out that Fabrizio Caruso has released his multi-system arcade blaster of 'Stinger'. As in the words of the developer, Stinger is a shooter with power-ups, 6 different levels, 5 different enemies, and several items to pick up. To coincide with this news, as ever we have some footage of the game being played below.

SPACE RESCUE IN JUPITER - A new Amstrad CPC game by Altanerus Dog

Something slightly different for this evening instead of all the Commodore 64 games we've been featuring, as we've just been contacted by both Saberman and Xenomorph, that as of just recently you can download the latest release of SPACE RESCUE IN JUPITER for the Amstrad CPC by Altanerus Dog. A new  Basic 1.0 game in which you must rapidly traverse the upper layers of the Jupiter atmosphere to rescue miners trapped below.

Booty The Remake - A classic 1980's game is getting an Amstrad CPC remake! [UPDATE]

Way back in 1984 Firebird released the Pirate style Arcade Puzzle game 'Booty' for the Amstrad CPC, C64, Commodore Plus/4, and ZX Spectrum. In that game you played as a cabin boy that had to steal treasure from his pirate masters, which meant avoiding other pirates, parrots and booby trapped treasure! Well if you remember this rather classic pirate themed game from back in the day, you'll will be pleased to know that at some point in the near future you'll be able to play 'Booty The Remake': A high quality version of this classic which is coming to the Amstrad CPC via PlayOnRetro.

Mario Bros Overhauled - This is the BEST Amstrad CPC version by far!

In 1983 Nintendo released the classic game ' Mario Bros ' for the Arcades, with a number of ports released by other publishers in 1988 for systems such as the Atari 8bit. This very famous game created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi, featured two plumbers Mario and Luigi, that needed to wipe out all the enemies appearing in the sewers of New York. Now thanks to Jean-Marie and team as a fan of Mario Bros, they have released this classic game for the Amstrad CPC: A new version of the game  that is far better than the original Amstrad port!

RODOLFO SKYLARRIENTE, THE ARCHAEOLOGIST - A simple text adventure has been released for the Amstrad CPC!

I was a bit late on this one *Sorry Xenomorph :p*, but if you're looking to play more of a history related game on your Amstrad CPC, then you might like this new game that has been sent to us and it's called RODOLFO SKYLARRIENTE, THE ARCHAEOLOGIST; A simple text adventure that has been released by Sakis Kaffesakis, Manossg and Brudij! LOCUS EREMUS - Click and Point game for the Amstrad CPC by Altanerus Dog

A bit of a late one for this news story, as thanks to both XeNoMoRPH and Saberman contacting us just recently, we've been told that if you're looking for an unusual game for your Amstrad CPC, then make sure to check out Altanerus Dog's latest Amstrad CPC game of 'LOCUS EREMUS'. A game in which the developer describes as "a graphic adventure which is categorized as a “ click & point ” specially designed for CPC 464 machines and tape format. Although You will have no problem making it work on any other machine".

JAX THE DOG - A fun for all the family game for the Amstrad CPC by CapaSoft

An early morning Amstrad news story for you all, as thanks to another heads up from our good friend XeNoMoRPH and Saberman. We've been told that if you're looking for a fun for all the family game, then make sure to check out CapaSoft's latest Amstrad CPC game of 'JAX THE DOG'; A charming Arcade game in which you need to collect all the bones in the many levels to move on to the next. To coincide with this news story, we've been provided with not one but two gameplay videos showing the game in action.

Gates to Heaven - A brand new Amstrad CPC release from ESP Soft!

Another Amstrad news story for you all, as thanks to a heads up from our good friend XeNoMoRPH and Saberman. We've been told that if you really enjoyed any of ESP Soft's previous games of CPC Jewels, Siemb Chronicles: Arkos the Traitor, or Red Sunset, then you may be interested to know that they have now released a new Amstrad CPC game of 'Gates to Heaven'. To coincide with this latest news story, both Xenomorph and Saberman have done a video of the game in action.

Vexed - A new Puzzler by Under4Mhz for the Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum and many other systems!

Under4MHZ is certainly no strangers to Indie Retro News, creating fabulous Puzzle games such as Pillars and even Pitman. Well here we are with another retro gaming shoutout, as we've been informed that if you have a ColecoVision, MSX, Sega SG-1000, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, ZX Spectrum 48/128, SpectraVision SV-318/328, Memotech MTX 512, Gameboy Classic or Amstrad CPC, you can now play "Vexed". A new and original puzzle game. Match the blocks, reach par, but make sure no block is left behind.

Rigor Mortis (Amstrad CPC)- An 8bit computer game based on the comic book character by the same name

Another Amstrad news story has hit our inbox, as XeNoMoRPH was kind enough to let us know through our email the other day, that if you're looking for a new game for your Amstrad CPC, then it might be worth checking out Rigor Mortis by Churrosoft. A game according to XeNoMoRPH, is a conversion from the Zx Spectrum to CPC developed using the Mojon Twins MK1 engine. Undrium - A fast paced, action packed, retro styled 2D platformer that's worth checking out!

If you're looking for a new indie game for your PC(Windows/Mac/Linux) with great retro vibes, then we might have found just the game for you! As if you head on over to BitGlint page below, you'll be able to play their latest game of 'Undrium'; a super cool looking game in which the creator says is "A fast paced, action packed, retro styled 2D platformer". Chloe Learns to Recycle - A new Amstrad CPC game as a conversion from the Zx Spectrum release!

If you have an Amstrad CPC and looking for a new game to play, then thanks to a heads up via our good friend XeNoMoRPH, we've been told that Francisco José Poyato Falero has released a new game for the Amstrad CPC called 'Chloe Learns to Recycle'; A new Amstrad CPC game as a conversion from the Zx Spectrum version which was awarded with the 2014 Onubenses of the Year award in Art and Culture. To coincide with this news, we also have some new footage of the game being played below.

Sly Spy (Secret Agent) - An enhanced version of a classic Ocean game for the CPC!

The Amstrad CPC has certainly had its fair share of fun games announced this year, especially with so many available to download such as MR.WONG, Cracky, Renegade Reloaded, and even our personal favourite Revenge of Trasmoz! Well here's another Amstrad news story to keep you company. As Saberman has informed us that Jean-Marie has released an enhanced version of Ocean's classic game of 'Sly Spy (Secret Agent)' for the Amstrad CPC. In light of this news, not only do we have some footage of this enhancement, but we also have some information regarding the changes made to Sly Spy.

MR. WONG - A new Amstrad CPC clone of a 1984 game called Mr. Wong's Loopy Laundry

If you have an Amstrad CPC and looking for another game to play through this weekend, then thanks to a heads up via Saberman and XeNoMoRPH, we've been told that Fitosoft has released a new game for the Amstrad CPC called 'MR WONG'; a clone/remake of a 1984 arcade platformer which was originally released by Artic Computing Ltd called Mr. Wong's Loopy Laundry. In light of this news, not only do we have some more information about the game, but we also have two gameplay videos from Saberman and XeNoMoRPH.

La Culotte de Zelda - An adaptation of the Zelda classic for the Amstrad CPC Plus

I thought to myself today it's been some time since we had any Zelda style games on Indie Retro News, but thankfully I came across one that doesn't just look like a Zelda game, but it could be the next best thing for any Amstrad Plus owner. Titled as 'La Culotte de Zelda' and created by Zisquier, with graphics by BDCIron, this is going to be an adaptation of "The Legends of Zelda" which came out on the NES, but also nods to "Link To The past" and "Link's Awakening".

Cracky - Another game release by Inufuto for the Amstrad CPC/C64/Plus4/ZX Spectrum and many more!

The retrogames just keep on coming, as thanks to another heads up earlier today from our good friend Saberman, he has told us that Inufuto has released a brand new game for systems such as the Amstrad, C64, Plus4 and ZX Spectrum called 'Cracky'. An Arcade platformer in which you need to collect all the Stars while avoiding deadly baddies. In light of this news, Saberman has also done a new video which shows the game in action below.

Renegade Reloaded - A classic beat em up for the Amstrad CPC now features scrolling!

In 1988 Ocean Software ( Imagine Label ) released a fine beat 'em up for the Amstrad CPC, C64 and ZX Spectrum. It was a great title that had either single player or two player gameplay with you playing as street fighters known only as Renegade in a revenge against a kingpin named "Mr. Big" for murdering their brother. Well if you remember this fine game from the 80's you'll be pleased to know that if you have an Amstrad CPC, you can play the newest of releases called 'Renegade Reloaded'; A new CPC version of the game which now features scrolling by Geco!

Revenge of Trasmoz - Eagerly awaited Amstrad game via Volcano Bytes is finally here!

As we said before : In 2020 Volcanobytes, Defecto Digital, Beyker, ThePope and BitFans, released the fabulous ZX Spectrum game of The Curse of Trasmoz; an Arcade game in which you played as a brave hero, on a quest to break an evil curse throughout multiple areas of more than 20 challenging yet well designed levels. Well fast forward to today and thanks to XeNoMoRPH who contacted us just recently, he has told us that Volcanobytes has finally released the eagerly awaited Amstrad game of Revenge of Trasmoz; a high quality game based on the original "The Curse of Trasmoz" for the Zx Spectrum.
