Morris.exe - A new Puzzler for the Amstrad CPC by MedusaProjects

The Amstrad CPC has certainly had its fair share of fun games released this month, especially with so many available to download via the CPCRetroDev 2022 competition that we have mentioned here on Indie Retro News. Still, if you are not content with the games just posted and wanted even more Amstrad goodness, then it might be worth your time checking out MedusaProject's latest Amstrad game of Morris.exe; A challenging puzzler that will keep you busy throughout the weeks ahead.

Tiny Deathmatch - A Multiplayer game released for the Amstrad CPC by Francesc Alcaucer

Something slightly different for today's retro heads up, as we've just been contacted by a good friend of ours through Facebook, that as of just recently you can download the latest release of Tiny Deathmatch for the Amstrad CPC by Francesc Alcaucer. A new game in which you either fight against other players or the CPU, as a multiplayer death match game programmed 100% in Locomotive Basic for the CPCRetrodev 2022 competition.

CPC Jewels - A colourful Columns game available for the Amstrad CPC via Amstrad ESP(ESP Soft)!

Another Amstrad news story for you all as they just keep on coming, as thanks to a heads up from our good friend XeNoMoRPH through our Indie Retro News inbox. We've been told that if you really enjoyed the 1984 game of Tetris or the 1989 game of Columns, then as of right now you can enjoy Amstrad ESP(ESP SOFT) latest Columns based game of 'CPC Jewels' for the Amstrad CPC. Dire Dare - An incredible Amstrad CPC game entered into the CPCRetroDev 2022

While many of you are probably still enjoying the latest Amstrad CPC release of the hit classic of TOKI, there's another game that's well worth a load, and it's CNGsoft's latest game of Dire Dare. An Isometric action game with nods to classics such as Atic Atac. In this game entered into the CPCRetroDev 2022, you takes the role of sorceress Hecatia, whose goal is to locate and defeat Glanosuchus and Alopecodon, hidden in opposite corners of the mansion. In light of this news our good friend XeNoMoRPH has done a gameplay video showing how good this game looks and sounds as a top entry into the competition.

Penguin Attack - A great Arcade game released by Pat Morita Team for the Amstrad CPC!

Great news if you have an Amstrad CPC, as thanks to another heads up from Saberman, we've been told that Pat Morita Team who behind games such as Vampire Slayer, Ninjakul 2, Shovel Adventure and the brilliant Arcade like conversion of Tokimal for the ZX Spectrum. Have released the brand new Amstrad CPC game of Penguin Attack. A high quality and fun for all the family Arcade game in which you have to throw snowballs at Penguin's and Octopus's for a high score. Ramiro el Vampiro III - Find the bloody mushrooms in this new Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum game from The Mojon Twins


We were a bit late on this one but it's still worth mentioning even on a Sunday, as thanks to another heads up by Saberman who has just posted a gameplay video for both versions, he has told us that The Mojon Twins has released the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum game of Ramiro el Vampiro III. This game available as a name your own price, puts you in control of Ramire the vampire on a quest to collect some bloody mushrooms from the forest near Cheshire (province of Badajoz).

Toki - Amstrad 128k version of an Arcade classic has finally been released by AmstradGGP!

Toki was an awesome arcade shooter platformer that was released way back in 1989 by a designer by the name of Akira Sakuma for many different retro systems. In it you played as an enhanced Ape transformed from a Human that could shoot energy balls from his mouth defeating strange creatures and finally an evil Wizard. If you remember this truly great game, you'll be pleased to know that as of right now, you can finally play the eagerly awaited Amstrad 128k version which has been released by AmstradGGP via the link below.

Transylvania Castle - A new game by Fitosoft for the Amstrad CPC!

If you have an Amstrad CPC and looking for another game to play through this week, then thanks to a heads up via Saberman, Liqmatrix and XeNoMoRPH, we've been told that Fitosoft has released a new game for the Amstrad called 'Transylvania Castle'; an arcade platformer in which you need to traverse all the levels to end the evil curse by finding Count Dracula and ending his life. To coincide with this Amstrad news, Saberman has also done a gameplay video viewable below.

Spaceman Kerl - A new game has surfaced for the Amstrad CPC by Fitosoft


Something slightly different for today's retro heads up, as we've just been contacted by Saberman, that as of today you can download the latest release of Spaceman Kerl for the Amstrad CPC by Fitosoft. A new game in which playing as Paratrooper Kerl, you must traverse through space to rescue those that are stranded below. To coincide with this news, Saberman has also done a new video which gives us a better look at the gameplay of Spaceman Kerl.

Car Racer - Another Tiger Electronics game arrives on the Amstrad CPC via Antero Martinez ( Altaneros DOG )

If any of you remember playing the 1990's handheld game of 'Car Racer' by Tiger Electronics, then as of right now you can download the latest clone of the game for the Amstrad CPC by Altaneros DOG. The same creator who also released the more recent Amstrad game of Panda Raid Classic Cars and Space Rescue. To coincide with this news, XeNoMoRPH has done a recent video which gives us a first look at the gameplay for Car Racer.

Future Knight DX - A great fan remake of the 1986 game "Future Knight" by Gremlin Graphics Software!

Well this took me completely by surprise, as thanks to a heads up from our good friend Liqmatrix. We have been told that Johndimi has released a brand new remake of Future Knight; A game which was originally released back in the 1980's for the Amstrad, C64 and ZX Spectrum. In truth this is not only a fantastic remake of an already great game, but it has a quick screeching loader, a nice game design screen, brilliant gameplay and the music really brings back those nostalgic memories from all those years ago.

Space Rescue - A Tiger Electronics game is coming to the Amstrad CPC via Antero Martinez ( Altaneros DOG )

Another great Amstrad news story for you all, as if you remember playing the 1990's handheld game of 'Space Rescue' by Tiger Electronics, then at some point soon you'll be able to play a clone of the game for the Amstrad CPC by Altaneros DOG. The same creator who also released the more recent Amstrad game of Panda Raid Classic Cars. Another Amstrad news story has hit our inbox, as XeNoMoRPH was kind enough to let us know through our email today, that if you're looking for a new Arcade racer for your Amstrad CPC, then you might like check out Antero Martinez's latest game of ' Panda Raid Classic Cars '; A game that was not only developed using basic but it only has 7 kb of program plus 3 of graphics. To coincide with this news both Saberman and XeNoMoRPH sent us a gameplay video for you to watch as a first look at the game.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Amstrad owners across the globe! Mojon Twins creators of SGT.Helmet Training Day 2020 and CHE-MAN are back with another stunning retro gaming release. As we've just been told by XeNoMoRPH through our emails, that they have released a new game called 'Lala Prologue '; a game that isn't just an inspiration to the great The Mojon Twins NES game Lala The Magical, but was also a hit game by Digital Monastery for the C64, CPlus/4 & VIC-20.

Black Sea - A cool Amstrad, MSX and ZX Spectrum game by Mananuk arrives on the Gameboy Advanced

Black Sea is getting another feature on Indie Retro News, as looking through itch io, we have found out that the fun for all the family Arcade game of 'Black Sea', has arrived on the Gameboy Advanced. Now if you've not seen this game before as you don't have an Amstrad, MSX or ZX Spectrum, which the game previously released on. Then this is a new game in which you play as Submarine Captain Robinson on a quest deep into the Black Sea to search for treasures and discover all the secrets that those waters hold.

Red Planet CPC - An amazing looking game released for your Amstrad CPC

This year has just been fantastic for the Amstrad CPC with a ton of Amstrad homebrew games to spoil us, but even though we had all these games such as Blinky's Scary School for the Amstrad Plus and GX4000, we haven't finished with the Amstrad just yet. As thanks to XeNoMoRPH contacting us yesterday, we've been told of an amazing looking game that has been released for the Amstrad CPC called 'Red Planet CPC'; A graphically impressive game that can be downloaded below thanks to PlayonRetro.

Cacorm - Another enjoyable 8bit game appears from Inufuto ( Amstrad, C64, Plus/4 and more! )

If you have a Commodore 64 or any of the other systems listed on the main website and looking for another fun game to play through this week, then thanks to another heads up from our good friend Saberman, we've been told that Inufuto who is behind games such as ASCEND, has released a new game for systems such as the Amstrad, MSX, C64, Plus 4 and ZX Spectrum called 'Cacorm'; A challenging Arcade game in which you need to surround each of the stars in a Tron like way to complete the stage. To coincide with this news, Saberman has also done a view of the new game below.
