La Culotte de Zelda - An adaptation of the Zelda classic for the Amstrad CPC Plus

I thought to myself today it's been some time since we had any Zelda style games on Indie Retro News, but thankfully I came across one that doesn't just look like a Zelda game, but it could be the next best thing for any Amstrad Plus owner. Titled as 'La Culotte de Zelda' and created by Zisquier, with graphics by BDCIron, this is going to be an adaptation of "The Legends of Zelda" which came out on the NES, but also nods to "Link To The past" and "Link's Awakening".

Cracky - Another game release by Inufuto for the Amstrad CPC/C64/Plus4/ZX Spectrum and many more!

The retrogames just keep on coming, as thanks to another heads up earlier today from our good friend Saberman, he has told us that Inufuto has released a brand new game for systems such as the Amstrad, C64, Plus4 and ZX Spectrum called 'Cracky'. An Arcade platformer in which you need to collect all the Stars while avoiding deadly baddies. In light of this news, Saberman has also done a new video which shows the game in action below.

Renegade Reloaded - A classic beat em up for the Amstrad CPC now features scrolling!

In 1988 Ocean Software ( Imagine Label ) released a fine beat 'em up for the Amstrad CPC, C64 and ZX Spectrum. It was a great title that had either single player or two player gameplay with you playing as street fighters known only as Renegade in a revenge against a kingpin named "Mr. Big" for murdering their brother. Well if you remember this fine game from the 80's you'll be pleased to know that if you have an Amstrad CPC, you can play the newest of releases called 'Renegade Reloaded'; A new CPC version of the game which now features scrolling by Geco!

Revenge of Trasmoz - Eagerly awaited Amstrad game via Volcano Bytes is finally here!

As we said before : In 2020 Volcanobytes, Defecto Digital, Beyker, ThePope and BitFans, released the fabulous ZX Spectrum game of The Curse of Trasmoz; an Arcade game in which you played as a brave hero, on a quest to break an evil curse throughout multiple areas of more than 20 challenging yet well designed levels. Well fast forward to today and thanks to XeNoMoRPH who contacted us just recently, he has told us that Volcanobytes has finally released the eagerly awaited Amstrad game of Revenge of Trasmoz; a high quality game based on the original "The Curse of Trasmoz" for the Zx Spectrum.

DUNGEON of the SILVER STAR - Explore dangerous dungeons in this new Amstrad CPC game

The weather is distinctly grim outside with snow on the way, but to cheer us all up with a new retro game to play, here's Vynz-Prog's Amstrad CPC game of 'Dungeon of the Silver Star'; A new game in which you have to traverse through 12 dangerous dungeons collecting loot, while also finding keys to open the way to the next level. To coincide with yet another new Amstrad game news story, both Saberman and Xenomorph have done a video of the game in action.

Jet Paco 2023 - A brand new game by The Mojon Twins for the Amstrad CPC!

Even though it's getting really late and I'm almost falling asleep at the keyboard, I thought it best to give a shout out to this new game that was recently released for the Amstrad CPC called 'Jet Paco 2023' by the Mojon Twins. A game in which you must traverse an abandoned ship full of dangerous perils to gather energonia crystals, a material used to power spaceships. To coincide with this late news story, Saberman was also kind enough to do a new video showing the game being played.

SOH Tactics GX - A new Puzzle Strategy game appears for the Amstrad CPC Plus and GX4000

Another Amstrad game has appeared in our inbox, as XeNoMoRPH was kind enough to let us know earlier today, that if you're looking for a one to two player turn based strategy game with enemy units fighting it out on screen, it might be worth checking out the SOHDE team's new Amstrad CPC Plus and GX4000 game of 'SOH Tactics GX'. To coincide with this new game update, Xenomorph has also done a video below showing the game in action.

Boulder Dash 2 Rockford's Revenge - A classic game by First Star Software has been ported to the Amstrad CPC

We've featured the 1984-1985 Boulder Dash game a lot these last few years, what with the release of Boulder Dash Junior II The Final Dig and Boulder Dash Senior to name but a few for the Commodore 64. But now as a complete surprise to us, we've just been told by Saberman, that if you have an Amstrad CPC, you can play the latest port of Boulder Dash 2 Rockford's Revenge by pmeier: a game that was originally released on the Atari 8-bit, Commodore 64, MSX and ZX Spectrum.

The Brush Brothers - Fast paced painting game released for the Amstrad CPC

Something slightly different for this evening, as we've just been contacted by a good friend of ours through Facebook, that as of just recently you can download the latest release of The Brush Brothers for the Amstrad CPC by 21bloques. A new game in which you must rapidly traverse each of the many levels, painting all the platformers while also avoiding deadly enemies. In light of this news, you can check out the latest footage of the game by Saberman!

Aljau The Water Dam - A new Amstrad CPC game from Altanerus DOG

I was a bit late on this one as I'm dealing with *personal life*, but if you're looking to play a rather decent looking game on your Amstrad, then you might like to know as thanks to a heads up from XeNoMoRPH and Saberman, that Altanerus DOG has recently released the Amstrad Adventure game called 'Aljau The Water Dam'; A game in which you have to depressurize a dam full of water, otherwise a dam will collapse causing a catastrophe.

Shadow Hunter - A new Amstrad CPC action platformer as a nod to Ghostbusters by Mananuk

Another Amstrad game has appeared in our inbox, as XeNoMoRPH was kind enough to let us know through our emails, that if you're looking for a fun for all the family Arcade game for your Amstrad CPC, then it's worth checking out Mananuk's new game of ' Shadow Hunter '; A charming Action Platformer in which you need to capture all the ghosts with your beam gun and them force them into the Ghost Trap. In light of this news, XeNoMoRPH and Saberman have both done a video showing what the game looks like below.

Ramiro el Vampiro IV- A brand new Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum game from The Mojon Twins

An early morning retro gaming news story has appeared, as thanks to another heads up by XeNoMoRPH who has just posted a gameplay video, he has told us that The Mojon Twins has released the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum game of Ramiro el Vampiro IV.A game that puts you in control of Ramire the vampire, on a quest to collect some papyrus from an ancient Pyramid. A Pyramid that is said to be once ruled by the Sun god Aton. To coincide with this news, XeNoMoRPH has also done a video of the game which as ever can be viewed below.

Paleto Jones 2 - A challenging platformer by Mananuk for the Amstrad CPC!

It was only just recently that we featured Mananuk's ZX Spectrum game of Paleto Jones 2; a high quality yet challenging action platformer in which playing as Paleto Jones, you must find a powerful artifact called Bartolo's. Well if you have an Amstrad CPC and want to get in on the retro fun, we have just found out through the Saberman YouTube channel, that Mananuk has ported his game over to the Amstrad CPC using the MOJON TWINS MK1 PESTECERA engine.

Darkula - A high quality Amstrad game as a port of the 2019 PC version is here!

Thanks to XeNoMoRPH contacting us, we have just been told that if you have enjoyed any of Locomalito's games such as Maldita Castilla, Super Hydorah or even Darkula. Then as of today you can download the brand new release of 'Darkula' for the Amstrad CPC. A new port based on the 2019 PC version, which is a frantic fixed platform game designed like a 1983 coin-op arcade such as Mappy, Mouser, Arabian and many other great Arcade classics!

Hyperdrive - An awesome Shoot 'em up released for the Amstrad CPC/GX4000 by Juan J. Martínez

Another HOT news story has appeared in our inbox, as if you enjoyed any of Juan J. Martínez's homebrew games such as Night Knight, Magica or even Brick Rick then as of today you can play his brand new Amstrad game of 'Hyperdrive'. A super smooth top scrolling Shoot em up, in which you need to blast away enemy waves throughout all of the 5 stages to win the game. In light of this Amstrad news, Xenomorph and Saberman was kind enough to provide some footage of the game viewable below.

Tenebra - An enjoyable C64/Plus4 game by Haplo arrives on the Amstrad CPC

Another early morning retro gaming news story for you all, as we've recently been informed by Saberman and XeNoMoRPH, that the previously released C64, Plus 4 and ZX Spectrum game of Tenebra by Haplo, is now available for the Amstrad CPC. For those of you who haven't heard of this game before, Tenebra is an atmospheric puzzle game with rogue-like elements that ended up getting a sequel for the C64 called Tenebra 2. To coincide with this news not only has Saberman done a video of Tenebra, but you can purchase it for the Amstrad CPC via the itch io page below.

Darkula - A high quality Amstrad game as a port of the 2019 PC version is coming

Missile Command on the Amstrad CPC+ and GX4000 and it looks pretty decent!

The iconic Atari game Missile Command didn't get the best of ports even on the Amstrad, but that is about to change. As thanks to yet another gaming heads up from Saberman, he has told us that Ayor61 and team, have released a much improved version of the game over to the Amstrad CPC+ and GX4000. As in the words of Ayor61 "For 50th years birthday of Atari, and as a tribute to one of my first childhood game on Atari 2600, Here is Missile Command! An adaptation from scratch for the Amstrad GX4000 / CPC+"

Oh Chute! - This upcoming Amstrad game looks a ton of fun to play!

This year has just been fantastic for the Amstrad CPC with a ton of Amstrad homebrew games to spoil us, but even though we had all these games such as Blinky's Scary School for the Amstrad Plus and GX4000 and Toki, we haven't finished with the Amstrad just yet. As looking through the CPCWiki forums, we've come across an enjoyable looking game that's in development for the Amstrad called 'Oh Chute'; An Arcade game in which you need to parachute and land without being hit by the helicopters!
