Well as a shocking announcement today, and one most would probably think was some sort of April fools (It's September!), Eric Majikeyric has announced he is porting the game to the C64!

Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga CD32 - A fantastic Amiga port now features The Lost Level

As if this week couldn't any better as once again we are mentioning the Sega CD exclusive ' Heart of the Alien ' which recently appeared on the Amiga as an incredible port known as ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga V1.0, and also unofficially on the Amiga CD32 as Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga CD32. But this time not only has the port gone through a number of testing phases, but it is now available as what should be the final version, which includes a rather special addition.

If you've been following our gaming news lately, especially if you have ever owned an Amiga then you would've already come across the fantastic release of the SEGA CD-Amiga conversion of the Another World sequel known as ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga V1.0, and the more recent release 'Another World - Lost Levels'. However there is another game out there that stands out in the Another World/Flashback style of gameplay and that is ' OnEscapee ' AGA by Sadeness Software, which this week been unofficially re-released by DamienD as a complete patched HDF file.

But today we are going to get even further for the original, as Earok has made available the Another World - Lost Level for the Amiga, which originally was part of the DOS library.

It wasn't long ago the Sega CD exclusive ' Heart of the Alien ' appeared on the Amiga as an incredible port known as ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga V1.0. The sequel to the amazing 1991 Delphine Software ' Another World ', but instead was developed by Interplay Entertainment. Was fully ported over with everything intact. And it was also no wonder it ended up also getting an optimised Amiga CD32 version by DJM and released as a beta. Yet fast forward to today however and Earok has made available an even better version as beta 5.

Only just recently the Amiga community was blown away by the announced release of the Sega CD exclusive ' Heart of the Alien ' appearing on the Amiga as an incredible port known as ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga V1.0. The sequel to the amazing 1991 Delphine Software ' Another World ', but instead was developed by Interplay Entertainment. Was fully ported over with everything intact, including cutscenes, gameplay, sound and even music. But yet there was another system it wasn't ported to and that was the Amiga CD32, which today thankfully has actually appeared as a beta optimized release by the hard work of DJM and sharing of Earok.

Amiga Game Remakes for Android by Tomáš Konvička

To be honest apart from the odd Android game here and there, we tend not to feature them. Most are in our eyes are rather poor and just a way to cash in on microtransactions and other such paid for in game nasties. However thanks to a find by s2325, he's come across a video on Youtube which shows some of the better games that have appeared for Android based devices. This is in fact the 'Amiga Game Remakes for Android' upload by Tomáš Konvička, which has games such as Lemmings, Another World and Battle Squadron. It's just a shame that the video is only 11mins long, as I'm sure there are other great Amiga games ported over, well that's if the Amiga/Android emulator uae4all doesn't take your fancy!

Classic Amiga Flashback - Ported to the Amiga CD32 this time in five languages!

Although we haven't had much in the way of releases this month from Earok related to the Amiga CD32, we do have an update regarding 'Flashback' which we mentioned some time ago, has now been updated with further language support. For those of you who don't know anything about this Sci-fi action platform game in a similar style to Another World and Prince of Persia; Flashback did actually appear on the Amiga as well as many other platforms such as the Mega Drive by Delphine Software, however an Amiga CD32 version did not appear until now.

Station - Flashback inspired psychological terror gets a Kickstarter

Those of you who like a good psychological horror story may be interested to know that Well-Lit Room has announced that their latest Kickstarter campaign for a Flashback inspired psychological terror game titled 'Station' has now begun. Inspired by old adventure games such as Another World (Out of This World) and Flashback, you play as a crew member of a routine expedition that has gone  very badly wrong, an incident has turned the under water mining facility into a death trap with insane crew members and the aim is to get out as quickly as possible!

The Way - PlayWays Another World style game has 2 days Kickstarter left!

The developers PlayWay have just informed us that there is only 2 days left to their awesome Kickstarter campaign for The Way, which is a 2D Puzzle Platformer that is very similar to Another world, Heart of Darkness and Flashback. We've followed this game from the very beginning and let me tell you why, not only does it look bloody fantastic with high quality pixelated art work, it also has an immersive story, uniquely designed creatures and well designed puzzles. The Way has also gathered enough support to be a huge Kickstarter success, however it needs that little bit more! If they make an extra $3,500 in pledge funding it will bring The Way to mobiles such as iOS and Android. So come on guys n girls, we can do it, don't let those desktops have all the fun!

Another World : The Movie - Awesome short film from Bartek Hlawka based on a classic game!

We've just been sent word that Another World aka Project 23, which is a short film based on the amazing retro classic Another World has now been released. This awesome short film was handmade in Poland through over 800hrs of work, months of preparation, 5 shooting days, weeks of post productions and incredible attention to detail movie props and set pieces. You can thank Bartek Hlawka and the many talented artists for this short film as it's of very high quality!

The Fall - Over The Moon announces a worthy sci-fi action adventure [Short Review]

Only just moments ago Over the Moon sent us word about their new sci-fi action adventure game, The Fall and I'll tell you now this game is pretty impressive! The Fall is set in a dark, distant sci-fi universe with the story revolving around the combat suit ARID and the unconscious pilot within the suit itself. I'll not delve too much into the story as I don't wish to spoil it. But from the very short play through I had, this game felt as if it was trying to be a mix of Super Metroid and Another World, yet I could find no faults in that mix I was just wanting more. It was so dark, so creepy, and gave me the eery feelings of a creature waiting in the darkness to take my life away.

We've been following this Kickstarter right from the start and if you thought Another World, Heart of Darkness or Flashback was good, then this game is the next step in the evolution. If you thought Another World, Heart of Darkness or Flashback was bloody brilliant, then wait till you see The Way by developers PlayWay, which is a new 2D Puzzle Platformer that has just appeared on Kickstarter. Featuring high quality pixelated art work, an immersive story line, uniquely designed creatures and puzzles, this is a game well worth funding. The Way has a very modest Kickstarter funding goal of only $15,000 and will be available for PC, Mac and Linux in September 2014.
