JetHuntERS - An Amiga preview of a new arcade shoot 'em up by Coagulus
Thanks to another heads up from Saberman, he has told us that Coagulus has made available an early build preview of his/her work in progress Shoot-em-up for the Amiga called 'JetHuntERS'. A game that the developer says isn't just a sequel to JetHunt, but also a partial tribute to the game Zybex which came out on 8-bit computers in the 1980's. It wasn't long ago now that we gave you the heads up, that the 1998 game of ' Jump 'n Bump ', which was released for MS-DOS and as a later remastered version, was coming to the Commodore Amiga, by none other than Earok of the Scorpion Engine. Well if you've been waiting for more news on this game, we are pleased to tell you that as of today, you can try out the latest beta version that essentially contains the core feature set from the original game. Although the creator does state , it hasn't been well tested yet so there may be bugs yet to be found or fixed.
Classic NES game 'Duck Hunt' has been unofficially released on the Commodore Amiga!

As if you've ever had a Nintendo and a Light Gun, then you'll be pleased to that knowmarggines has released the classic NES game of ' Duck Hunt ' over to the Commodore Amiga ; a game that was also ported over to the Commodore 64 back in 2022 by Mahna Mahna. In light of this news, not only can you download the game right now, but there's also a new gameplay video done by Saberman earlier today.
Donkey Kong - A famous 80's game as an Arcade to Commodore Amiga conversion by JOTD!
As we said before, it was only just the other week that we informed you that JOTD, who is also behind the brilliant Arcade conversions of Galaxian and Super Xevious 1200 for the Amiga, was going to be doing another conversion/port of the classic 80's game of 'Donkey Kong'. Well thanks to a heads up from one of our readers in the comments section, we've been told that JOTD has finally released the eagerly awaited Donkey Kong 500. A transcode of Donkey Kong arcade version for the Amiga which you can see in the latest video below.
Castlevania AGA - Upcoming Castlevania for the Commodore Amiga gets a much improved demo!
Today's news is something special indeed, as trawling through Twitter, we've been told that Dante Retro Dev who is behind the excellent Arcade/NES to Amiga conversion of Green Beret, has released a new demo build for the upcoming Castlevania AGA : An in development AGA Amiga version which is being created using the excellent Scorpion Engine. To coincide with this news, while we wait for a new gameplay video from Saberman, the creator has posted a twitter update saying the demo includes polishing, extra details in some levels, dracula icon added on map cut-scene, and other fixes & improvements.
Jump 'n Bump - Cute bunnies battling it out in this teased Commodore Amiga OCS and Sega Mega Drive game! [Alpha Available]
Titled as ' Jump 'n Bump ', this game was originally released for free by Brainchild Design in 1998 for MS-DOS. It supported 4 players and was about bunnies crushing each other to death to get the highest score. So why are we mentioning this now? Well not only was the game released some time ago as a remastered version for modern systems by Domarius Games(link). But at some point in the near future, Earok will be porting the game over to the Commodore Amiga and Sega Mega Drive via the Scorpion Engine.

Final Fight Enhanced - Hot News!! An enhanced Amiga version of a classic Beat 'em up from 1991 is finally here!
This week just gets better and better for the latest Amiga news stories, as thanks to a heads up from a good friend of ours on the EAB forums, we've been told that Brick Nash has finally released the enhanced version of the 1991 US GOLD published Beat 'em up of 'Final Fight' for the Amiga; A game that when it was originally released back in the 90's, was regarded as either a failure, or just a pretty terrible game suffering the same fate as the Street Fighter II Amiga port ". To coincide with this news, provided below is the latest footage of this incredible looking enhanced version of Final Fight.
Trojan - 1986 Arcade Beat em up is still coming to the Amiga(AGA)!
Possibly the best news for this morning and one I really think is going to get those jaws dropping *AGAIN* throughout the Amiga community, as trawling the EAB forums, we have found out that the Arcade version of Trojan by Capcom, is still coming to the Commodore Amiga as an AGA port by skyzoo73. A game that can be seen in this very early footage showing some of the levels, the enemies and that all important soundtrack provided by the creator.
WIZONK - Creeping Me Out Hex Night creator 'Mixel' teases a new Amiga game! (Multiplayer test)
Even though Mixel hasn't yet released the Amiga platformer of 'Creeping Me Out : Hex Night'; A Scorpion Engine created Action/Adventure/Platformer featuring complex levels, a story, enemies and dangerous traps to keep you company. There's another game that's worth keeping an eye and by the same developer, and that's WIZONK; A 4 player deathmatch wizard platformer with gameplay that's regarded as a slight mash up of Fuzzball and Smash Bros. To coincide with this news, not only is there a video of the game being played, but Mixel has also released the first multiplayer test that can be downloaded below.

The Commodore Amiga scene always surprises me, if it's not amazing demos running on stock A500's, it's games such as Castlevania, Abbey(s) of the Dead or even Wonderboy running at high frame rates that would put most Commodore classics to shame. But today's news is something special indeed for this system of greatness, as remz has just wow'd the Amiga community with an impressive animation display of Large HAM bobs via his Hamulet test. For those of you who don't know what HAM is "Hold-And-Modify, usually abbreviated as HAM, is a display mode of the Commodore Amiga computer. It uses a highly unusual technique to express the color of pixels, allowing many more colors to appear on screen than would otherwise be possible".
Spheroid - Previously featured WIP puzzle game for the Amiga is now available
We have been told that the previously featured work in progress game of 'Spheroid' by Arkanix Labs has been now been released as a new game for 2024. For those who don't remember playing the first version and the XMAS edition, in this game you need to use your sphere like object to traverse a set of different tiled floors to reach the exit. To coincide with this news story, not only is there a new gameplay video available below, but it gives a better idea of how to play the game and if it's to your liking.
L'Abbaye Des Morts - Jeegfro's Amiga port of a great game by Locomalito gets a new update
Boy do we have some great news for you Commodore Amiga owners! As if you've played Locomalito's awesome retro styled platformer of 'L'Abbaye des Morts': A game which was ported by different teams over to systems such as the OS 4, C64, NES, and even the Sega Mega Drive. Then as of today you can download and play the latest update to Jeegfro's Amiga port! An Amiga version of the game that was released in November prior to UltraNarwhal's enhanced version that was also released in November. Detonator - A one screen puzzler released for the Atar ST/STE by Cobra!
Another heads up and surprisingly it's an Atari ST news story, as thanks to Saberman and Tom who were kind enough to contact us this week, that they have told us that Cobra has made available their latest puzzle game of Detonator. An Atari STE game which won first place in the Silly Venture 2023WE Atari ST/STE Game Competition!
