Bunny's Boing Ball Bounty - Bunny hopping boing ball fun for the Commodore Amiga by RobSmithDev and Virgill

Looking to play a charming and family friendly game for Easter, then this game by RobSmithDev and Virgill might just the game for you! It's 'Bunny's Boing Ball Bounty' for the Commodore Amiga. A game in which playing as a cute Bunny, you must collect all the Eggs as fast as possible on a rotating Amiga Boing Ball! Popeye VBXE - An arcade port, but this time for the Atari XL/XE with VBXE! (RC1)

Now here's a blast from the past, as we've just been informed by Liqmatrix, that the classic Arcade game of 'Popeye', has been released as an RC1 build for the Atari XL/XE with a VBXE as an Arcade conversion by woj. In a similar vein to Donkey Kong albeit not as good, you play as Popeye and must collect hearts, musical notes and the letters H-E-L-P that the lovable character Olive drops from the top of the screen. But be warned, just like the cartoon, Brutus will get in your way with the help of the bad Sea Hag!

Krogharr - Inviyya creator's upcoming Commodore Amiga action slasher gets a demo tease!

Right from the word go, we were one of the first gaming websites to give you the heads up about TIGERSKUNK's amazing Shoot 'em up of Inviyya; a game with amazing scrolling graphics, super action, great sound effects, and a real hark back to days of R-Type or Project-X. Well time has passed since its release, as this week the same developer has now announced a new demo to his upcoming fighting game that is coming to the Amiga called 'Krogharr'; a new OCS action slasher which was teased some time ago with just a few screenshots.

Hermanos - An entertaining platform puzzler from D.Rejment for the C64

A new Commodore 64 homebrew has surfaced which may appeal to those of you who like a challenge, as D.Rejment has released the Commodore 64 game of 'Hermanos'. A game in which the creator says you have to guide Hermanos through 20 levels and collect the gold scattered around each of the many levels found in the game. To coincide with this news story, Saberman has provided a video of the game which can be viewed below.

Classic NES game 'Duck Hunt' unofficially released on the Commodore Amiga, gets a new update


If you've ever had a Nintendo and a Light Gun, then chances are that you would've played the 1984/95 NES game of 'Duck Hunt': A game in which players fired a NES Zapper at a CRT television, with three attempts per round to shoot ducks and clay pigeons. Well if you remember our previous announcement  that marggines unofficially released the classic NES game of ' Duck Hunt ' over to the Commodore Amiga, then as of today you can play the 1.2 update which is featured in Saberman's latest video below.

Toki C64 Remastered gets new footage and it looks AWESOME

Toki was an awesome arcade shooter platformer that was released way back in 1989 by a designer by the name of Akira Sakuma for many different systems such as the NES, Sega Mega Drive, Atari Lynx, Atari ST, Amiga and Commodore 64. In it you played as an enhanced Ape transformed from a Human that could shoot energy balls from his mouth defeating strange creatures and finally an evil Wizard. Well If you remember this truly great game, you'll be pleased to know that at some point in the near future, you'll be able to play a remastered version which is still in development for the C64!

Lock'n'Chase - Another brilliant Arcade to Commodore 64 port by LC-Games!

LC-Games is certainly no stranger to Indie Retro News, creating brilliant titles such as Bagman Comes Back, Tutankham, Tutankham Returns, Mike Mech, Scout the Stray, Santa's Troubles and our personal favourite Arcade to C64 game of Dig Dug. But another game has just caught our attention and worthy of a mention on IRN, and it's LC-Games latest C64 homage to the 1980's 'Lock'n'Chase ': an arcade game developed by DECO in 1981 which runs perfectly on both PAL and NTSC models of the Commodore 64!

ARLO - Check out this awesome ZX Spectrum game by Packobilly

If you're looking for a very cool game to play right now at home on your speccy, then we have just been told by Saberman through Facebook, that you can now play Packobilly's high quality ZX Spectrum game of 'Arlo'. A game that isn't just a platformer filled with dangerous enemies, but playing as an Alien called Arlo, that has landed on Earth, you must recover a series of objects that is of vital importance. To coincide with this news, Saberman has also done a video of the game being played.

Foggys Quest - John Blythe‎'s ZX Spectrum hit arrives on the Amstrad CPC

I've just found out through Twitter that John Blythe, the same creator behind the excellent 'The Incredible Shrinking Professor' and the electrically charged 'Circuitry', has teamed up with Ayor61 and released the Amstrad CPC and GX4000 version of 'Foggy's Quest': a charming looking platformer that was previously released for the ZX Spectrum and is a far cry from his recent adventure horror game ' The Darkness of Raven Wood '. To coincide with this news, make sure to check out the latest gameplay videos provided by both Saberman and XeNoMoRPH.

Savage Princess 2 - A Charmingly creepy platformer for the ZX Spectrum by Monsters Legs Productions goes FREE!

Once more the ZX Spectrum is getting a great game mention, as thanks to both Monsters Legs Productions and also our good friend Tez Rowlands contacting us just recently, we've been told you really should be checking out the action packed game of 'Savage Princess 2' for the ZX Spectrum. A game that isn't just your usual platformer, but it also has dark overtones filled with dripping acid/ooze and deadly enemies. To coincide with this news story, you can check out some footage of the game which was released some time ago through BitmapSoft and itch io. 

Bubble Bobble looks great on the Atari 7800!

Prepare to have your minds blown , especially if you have an Atari 7800! As we have just found through Liqmatrix, that during Jan of this year, OldStyle and Bobby Clark had released an update to their incredible work in progress Atari 7800 conversion/port of the Arcade game of 'Bubble Bobble'. A game that has infuriated and thrilled us in equal measure on our home computers since its original release around the year of 1987 to 1989! To coincide with this news, while we wait for some up to date footage from Saberman, here's some gameplay footage from last month of the game.

Alice Sisters - After 3 years of development this game is now available for the Atari Falcon computer

Every time I post the latest Commodore Amiga news, I always get the same response through Facebook , with one such user saying " Atari Falcon When? ". Well thankfully today we can help you out! As thanks to Liqmatrix contacting us the other day, he has told us that OrionSoft has made available the Atari Falcon game of 'Alice Sisters'. A new puzzle platformer with 28 levels in 4 worlds and a 2 players co-op mode that can be seen being played in this latest footage provided below.

Classic NES game 'Duck Hunt' has been unofficially released on the Commodore Amiga!

We always try to keep you up to date with the best in Amiga news, but boy do we have a surprise for you. As if you've ever had a Nintendo and a Light Gun, then you'll be pleased to that knowmarggines has released the classic NES game of ' Duck Hunt ' over to the Commodore Amiga ; a game that was also ported over to the Commodore 64 back in 2022 by Mahna Mahna. In light of this news, not only can you download the game right now, but there's also a new gameplay video done by Saberman earlier today.

Mushroom Soup - A lovely albeit short ZX Spectrum game by Ottersoft

Good morning you fine retro gamers! Thanks to Saberman contacting us very early today, we've been told that Ottersoft has released the short but enjoyable arcade ZX Spectrum game of 'Mushroom Soup'. A game in which you play as a little goblin that is so hungry for soup, he's having to search dark and dangerous caves to gather all the mushrooms as the main ingredient. To coincide with this news, you can either watch the latest gameplay video or check out the game downloadable below via itch io.

Donkey Kong - A famous 80's game as an Arcade to Commodore Amiga conversion by JOTD!

As we said before, it was only just the other week that we informed you that JOTD, who is also behind the brilliant Arcade conversions of Galaxian and Super Xevious 1200 for the Amiga, was going to be doing another conversion/port of the classic 80's game of 'Donkey Kong'. Well thanks to a heads up from one of our readers in the comments section, we've been told that JOTD has finally released the eagerly awaited Donkey Kong 500. A transcode of Donkey Kong arcade version for the Amiga which you can see in the latest video below.

Corescape - Check out this rather cool Shoot 'em up for the Commodore 64 by drmortalwombat

Thanks to another heads up from a good friend of ours , we've been told that if you're looking for a rather cool looking game for your Commodore 64, then make sure to check out drmortalwombat's latest game release of 'Corescape'; An arcade shoot 'em up in which you must battle your way out of galactic hub space station through eight stages of wave blasting action. To coincide with this news, we've got some new footage of the game being played below.

Breakthru - A Commodore Amiga conversion/port of a Data East Arcade game has been released!

If you're looking for further Arcade updates on the site, other than the ones we featured previously such as Final Fight Enhanced, Donkey Kong and Trojan, then we have just been told by our good friend Saberman through Facebook, that AcidBottle together with JMD(Audio) has finally released the Arcade to Commodore Amiga game of Breakthru; A 1986 side scrolling shooter by Data East in which you must drive a military vehicle through enemy territory to rescue your PK430 aircraft.

Trojan - 1986 Arcade Beat em up is still coming to the Amiga(AGA)!

Possibly the best news for this morning and one I really think is going to get those jaws dropping *AGAIN* throughout the Amiga community, as trawling the EAB forums, we have found out that the Arcade version of Trojan by Capcom, is still coming to the Commodore Amiga as an AGA port by skyzoo73. A game that can be seen in this very early footage showing some of the levels, the enemies and that all important soundtrack provided by the creator.

Cyborg Warriors - This side scrolling shooter is worth checking out on the Atari XL/XE!

While we have featured many Atari XL/XE games throughout the last few years, with some being brilliant and others just being...Well average. There's one game that's certainly worth checking out if you've got the time to spare this weekend, and it's Vega, Kaz and Miker's newest of game creations called 'Cyborg Warriors'. A rather cool side-scrolling shooter which was originally released in 1991 by Superior Software for the BBC Micro! To coincide with this news, Saberman has provided a video showing the game in action.

Robocop Vs Predator - This 80s and 90's tribute game by Oscar Celestini SHOP is certainly worth a download!

We always try to get the best in retro gaming news for our readers, and as such we've just found out through Andy Godoy of The ZX Spectrum Podcast, that Oscar Celestini SHOP recently released a rather awesome looking PC 80's/90's tribute game of 'Robocop Vs Predator'. A game which doesn't just feature lots of kick ass action that would even feel right at home at the Arcades, but also graphical aesthetics giving it a Gameboy look. I mean seriously with feedback such as "This is not a fangame. It is a true video game" it makes it worth checking out!
