I should be going to bed but this was too good not to pass on by, as recently GeezerGames has announced through his website, that the previously released game of 'Bomb Jack Beer Edition', which was my personal choice for game of the year for the Amiga, has been given a very special update! Yes indeed if you loved playing this unofficial version of the game which was almost as good as the Arcade. Then it now features far better audio, and game play tweaks such as the speed at which Jack moves which is now closer to the arcade game.

Bomb Jack Beer Edition - WIP enhanced Amiga port of an Arcade classic is nearly complete!
It's a late one but by Jolly is this a good announcement, as Graeme Cowie has just released the latest beta version of his in development enhanced Amiga port of ' Bomb Jack '. Yes indeed it is time to shout out from the retro zone as Beta 7a of ' Bomb Jack Beer Edition ' has made an appearance and if anything according to the creator, it isn't just better but the game is nearly complete for a May release!

Rejoice Amiga gamers as we've just been told through our twitter feed from the developer himself Graeme Cowie, that he has released the latest beta 5A of his in development Bomb Jack Amiga enhanced ' Bomb Jack Beer Edition '. Now if you followed the previous release, you would've experienced a much better game overall from its earlier showings, but now it looks as if this enhanced version isn't far off from a complete game!

Yes indeed version beta 4A of ' Bomb Jack Beer Edition ' has had a bit of a face lift, as not only has there been a huge change with memory management, but it runs from a hard drive, game area has been moved more to the right, and a bug has been fixed where intermittent slow downs would occur (thanks to Le Caravage).

Now some of you may be wondering what exactly could've been done in such a short time from the previous version, well the developer has told us this version now works on AGA chipsets! So yes Commodore Amiga's such as the A1200 can now feel the Bomb Jack love!

Well this is glorious news for a Monday as over the weekend we were contacted by Graeme Cowie, that his work in progress overhaul of Bomb Jack for the Commodore Amiga as Bomb Jack Beer Edition, has reached beta version 2! This game which we featured previously as one of many ports of the original Arcade classic, is being overhauled as close to the Arcade version as possible. Also as an added extra there will be added backgrounds from famous landmarks of his favourite drinking places such as Newcastle (Angel of the North), with each round having different beers to collect

Gabriele Amore is certainly no slouch in the area of ZX Spectrum development, as so far he has released games such as Castle Capers, Chunk Zone, Popeye(Conversion), GOOD NIGHT KANGA and even the ZX arcade port of Donkey Kong Jr. But this week as a very early tease and once again developed using Arcade Game Designer ( AGD ), he has now shown off another game in development and this time it's the Bomb Jack and Bubble Bobble mix of ' Super Bubble Bobble Boy '
