The multiscreen platform game of 'Aster' wasn't the only game that was recovered, as we've also found out looking through the plus/4 world website, that they've recovered a game called 'Time Cristal 1': a four level prototype, which later became a full 90's homebrew game from Hungary which was called 'Time Cristal' and released by Reddi. To coincide with this news, we've got another screenshot from this prototype as well as a more detailed description (Video soon).
Aster - Multiscreen platformer thought lost is recovered for the Commodore Plus/4
We do love writing about old retro games that have been lost through the years and for one reason or another have been uncovered much to the delight of the retro community. Today's release for example is pretty special for the Commodore Plus/4 community, as we've found out that BSZ together with Cody have recovered and released the Plus/4 game of 'Aster'. A multiscreen platform game in one disk side, with graphics taken from The Sacred Armour Of Antiriad for the sprites, and from First Samurai for the background elements!
Stick Man Arok Edition - Escape from the clutches of Evil in this level extended Plus/4 game from Epy and Csabo
Are you looking for another game to play on your Commodore Plus/4 then read on. As looking through the Plus/4 World website, we've come across a game we haven't featured yet called 'Stick Man Arok Edition' by Epy with music by Csabo. A new platformer in which you must escape from the clutches of the Evil Programmer. In light of this news, Saberman has provided a gameplay video showing some of the extra levels found in the game over the original which was first released in 2022 as just Stick Man.

HOT NEWS as Prince of Persia has been converted over to the Commodore Plus/4!
We've just come across a hot news story via the Plus/4 world website, that the all time classic platformer of 'Prince of Persia'; a game which was released for many different systems back in 1989 by Broderbund. As well as a more recent homebrew port for both the Atari XL/XE, Commodore Vic-20, and Sega Mega Drive. Has been converted over to the Commodore Plus/4 by Csabo, TCFS and Unreal.

Many of you already know of this game especially Amiga and C64 owners as this game has huge similarities to Super Mario and as such way back in the 80's also had an alleged lawsuit case against them from Nintendo. Into The Eagle's Nest Deluxe - A far better version of a classic, originally ported to the Plus/4 back in 1990
Trawling through the plus/4 world website, we've found out that the classic game of 'Into The Eagle's Nest', a game that was released on many different systems such as the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Apple II, Atari 8-bit family, Atari ST, Commodore 64, IBM PC, and ZX Spectrum, has been overhauled and re-released for the Plus/4 as 'Into The Eagle's Nest Deluxe'. As in the words of the website "the best way to play the super classic from Pandora software house on your Plus/4".
Cauldron II: The Pumpkin Strikes Back - A classic 8bit game has arrived on the Commodore Plus/4 by TCFS!
Ah "Cauldron", what a game that was, flying about the landscape on your broom shooting bats and jumping platforms while avoiding baddies. Hard to believe it was released all those years ago in 1985 for the ZX Spectrum, C64 and Amstrad CPC! Airwolf Enhanced - An improved and more level version of a very difficult game!
Ask most retro gamers or people of middle age and upwards about the name Airwolf and they'd probably tell you of a TV series in the 80's that revolved around a rather powerful military helicopter and its crew undertaking missions with cool action sequences. In fact living on in memory with that awesome theme tune, the TV show did even appear as its very own game on multiple platforms such as the Amstrad and the even the ZX Spectrum. Well it's the Commodore Plus/4 for this news update, as we've just been told, that C64Mark has released an enhanced version of this game originally released by Richard Ikin for Elite Systems in 1985.

Lemmings was a game published by Psygnosis way back in the early 90's for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC and regarded by many as one of the greatest games ever, especially as it featured many blue, green haired Lemmings that could be blown up, ripped apart and dropped from the highest of points before they even hope to reach that exit. So why is that great game getting another mention on IRN? Well thanks to a heads up from an IRN reader 'Christian', we've been told TCFS together with Csabo and Unreal, have released Lemmings for the Commodore Plus/4. A version of the game that many thought would never see the light of day!
Gnome Ranger & Time And Magik - Adventure classics by Level 9 available for the Plus/4 as a conversion by Csabo and Pigmy
Something slightly different for today's retro heads up to begin the week. As we've recently found out through the Plus/4 World website, that Csabo together with Pigmy have converted the classic text based adventure games of Gnome Ranger and Time and Magik over to the Commodore Plus/4. As in the words of the site " It's time to convert Gnome Ranger! This Level 9 adventure is now available for Plus/4. Also Time And Magik".

Then you might be interested to know that the 1980's Arcade game of Wizard of Wor; a game which also appeared on many other systems such as the Atari 8-bit, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Bally Astrocade, C64 and plus/4 (ported by TCFS in 1990), has received an enhanced edition for the Commodore Plus/4.
The Two Rogues! - A maze like puzzle game released for the Plus/4 by Olivér Orosz.
We haven't finished with the Plus/4 news just yet, as looking through the Plus/4 World website, we've also come across a new game called 'The Two Rogues' by Olivér Orosz. While the previous game of Stick Man is an Arcade Platformer, this looks to be a maze like puzzle game in which you need to help two rogues collect treasure throughout a number of cellars. In light of this news, just as in the other release we mentioned, we have a new gameplay video of the game below.
