The Shadows of Sergoth - A glorious Amiga Dungeon Crawler via Double Sided Games is finally here!

How time flies as it felt like it was only just yesterday that I had the pleasure of playing the high quality dungeon crawler that was released on the Amstrad CPC 6128; An inspiration to all those great first person grid based dungeon crawlers such as Eye of the Beholder or Dungeon Master. Well once again I'm in disbelief, as today after featuring the upcoming Amiga version for so long on Indie Retro News, we have been told by Saberman, that Double Sided Games has finally released the Amiga version of The Shadows of Sergoth much to the excitement of the community!

Double Sided Games have published some very good games these last few years, games such as Vegetables Deluxe, Black Dawn Rebirth and Hired Sword 2 are just some of the ones worthy of another mention. Thankfully the fun doesn't stop there, as Double Sided Games has recently contacted us through Twitter, that as from today you can purchase and download the latest game for the C64 called Don’t Break The Balls; an action / puzzle game for 1 or 2 players in co-operation or duel.

Double Sided Games didn't just announce that Don't Break The Balls for the C64 was accepting pre-orders for a May release, but as of today you can now play the eagerly awaited ZX Spectrum game of ' Vegetables Deluxe '; A game that was previously released on the Amiga and C64 and also coming to the Vic-20 via Arlagames. Now if you haven't heard of this game before, that's because it was previously released as Vegetables, and now thanks to Mike Richmond, has got a rather lovely speccy graphical overhaul!

Another Amiga update for all you, as we've recently been informed by Solo that the upcoming Amiga game known as 'Super Metal Hero', which is being developed by Colin Vella, Tenshu and JMD through Double Sided Games, has got a new teaser video! Yes indeed this game announced by us sometime ago but with a different coder, is a lovely looking side scrolling platformer with Parallax scrolling that is being developed using Blitz Basic.

Hired Sword 2 - A racy C64 CRPG will be coming to the Atari ST towards the end of this year

Double Sided Games are certainly no strangers to Indie Retro News, releasing great games such as L'abbaye Des Morts, Vegetables Deluxe and even Realms of Quest V. Well now after a heads up by the same publishers, they have now told us the racy C64 game of 'Hired Sword 2', will be released on the Atari ST;  A game that tells of the story of a Mercanary who after squandering all his coin and libations, has fallen in love with a seductive elf with long flowing hair. The problem is she's gone missing, and your quest is to find her however dangerous it may be!

This month has been fantastic for Amiga news, especially with games being mentioned on IRN such as Boss Machine, Inviyya, Tiny Little Slug, Tapper and even Redpill Puzzle. But it looks as if the greatness hasn't ended there, as thanks to another great heads up, we've been told Double Sided Games will be publishing a more polished version of Super Metal Hero for the Amiga. A game they've said will be getting a major change in the team, in gameplay and technology.

Double Sided Games announces a triple game whammy for 2020

With 2020 fast approaching it doesn't come as a surprise to us to see developers and or publishers announcing new games, as sure enough that has just happened with our personal favourite publishers Double Sided Games. A company that so far has released Black Dawn Rebirth, L’Abbaye des morts, Vegetables Deluxe and Realms of Quest V. The news announcement of today is, they've just gone and announced Hired Sword II for the C64, Don’t Break The Balls for the C64 and Super Metal Hero for the Amiga.

Vegetables Deluxe - An upcoming colourful C64 overhaul accepting pre-orders (7th August)

Double Sided Games are back in the news again, as after previously announcing Winterdane; a first-person rogue type RPG, with randomly generated levels looking like a rather cool dungeon crawler. But as of today they've just shouted to the hill tops, that ' Vegetables Deluxe ' will be available for pre-orders as from 7th August and is also coming September 30th on cartridge (boxed edition) and digital download.

Realms of Quest V - An eye opening RPG for the VIC-20 is now available

Way back in 2014 developer Ghislain de Blois released Realms of Quest IV for the Commodore VIC-20 through the publisher Psytronik. It was another game in the series as a fine tribute to classic style turn based, party based dungeon crawlers of the 1980‘s, with graphics reminiscent of the early Wizardry games I-IV. If you remember those awesome games, you'll be pleased to know Double Sided Games has finally released the sequel to the epic series as ' Realms of Quest V ' by Ghislain De Blois@hitfan2000!

Well they've not finished with us yet, because as of this afternoon they have just told us that a new game called Winterdane, will be coming to the C64 with team work by @saulc12 and @jclonningdal.

Black Dawn Rebirth - Double Sided Games latest Amiga crawler with new enemies!

Double Sided Games have been showing off big time this last month, what with the upcoming Realms of Quest V and The Shadows of Sergoth teased again with new footage. But those games are not the only ones with a new video update. As this weekend that same company have shown off some new footage of their work in progress game of ' Black Dawn Rebirth ', which is the 7th episode of the Black Dawn Dungeon Crawler/RPG series that is going to be released on the Amiga at some point in the near future.
