Magic Tomb - An upcoming PC Dungeon Crawler with an old school feel
Fancy playing a dungeon crawler that doesn't look like it's come straight out of a Legend of Grimrock stock room, then take a look at Bhr's work in progress game of ' Magic Tomb '. A work in progress game that the developer says is a simple old-school grid-based dungeon crawler with a 3D first person view point, 2D sprites, and a short level that is available to try right now through the gamemaker community.

A surprising Sunday retro heads up, as just moments ago, Double Sided Games have announced that they have finally released the eagerly awaited dungeon crawler of ' Black Dawn Rebirth '; an Amiga game that had been teased for so long with screenshots, trailers and a demo, as the 7th episode of the Black Dawn Dungeon Crawler/RPG series by Shaun Watters, Andy Campbell, Ten Shu and Mike Richmond.
Vaporum Lockdown - Prequel announced to an award winning steampunk dungeon crawler
While many C64 owners are still drooling over the thought of playing Eye of the Beholder on their Commodore 64, other Dungeon Crawlers with a PC at hand however may be interested to know that the award-winning steampunk dungeon crawler Vaporum, will be getting a prequel as of next year by Fatbot Games called Vaporum: Lockdown; a grid-based crawler in an original steampunk setting, and inspired by old-school games like Dungeon Master I and II, the Eye of the Beholder series, and the more recent Legend of Grimrock I and II.

Legends of Amberland - 90's inspired crawler by Silver Lemur Games gets a full release
Pushing out more great news today, as we've just been informed through our Dungeon Crawling Facebook group that 'Legends of Amberland ' by Silver Lemu Games, is out of Early Access and now at version 1.0 on Steam. This rather nice looking crawler that was mentioned previously on our site, is a classic western styled RPG that is inspired by great games from the 90's such as Dungeon Master, Eye of The Beholder 2, Might & Magic 3-5, Crystals of Arborea, and even the GoldBox series (Champions of Krynn, Dark Queen of Krynn, etc).

Winterdane - Double Sided Games announces a new C64 Rogue Dungeon Crawler!
Double Sided Games has been the highlight of the retro community these last few months, as not only did they announce that Black Dawn Rebirth was coming to the Amiga, but they also announced that as of the 1st of July they will be releasing Realms of Quest V for the Vic-20. Well they've not finished with us yet, because as of this afternoon they have just told us that a new game called Winterdane, will be coming to the C64 with team work by @saulc12 and @jclonningdal.

A truely fantastic looking game has just appeared in our inbox, as we've been told by a good friend of ours that Team Sorcerobe will be bringing their kick ass brawler of ' FIGHT KNIGHT ' to Steam and perhaps other digital services at some point very soon. Moments ago we were contacted by Double Sided Games, that they have released a brand new Alpha teaser for their upcoming Dungeon Crawler ' Black Dawn Rebirth '. Now if you remember our previous posts from this great publisher, they told us Black Dawn Rebirth is the 7th episode of the Black Dawn Dungeon Crawler/RPG series that is going to be released on the Amiga at some point in the near future. Classic Dungeon Crawler Eye of the Beholder gets a BIG DarkwyndPT review!
It’s a whole new year and I made a New Year’s resolution: I decided to try finishing any past games I left unfinished before trying any new game and that includes today’s subject, Eye of the Beholder!
Eye of the Beholder is a dungeon-crawling RPG developed by Westwood Studios and published by SSI. It was originally released in 1991 for the Amiga and DOS. It was ported in 1992 for the PC-98 and in 1994 for the SNES/Super Nintendo and the Sega Mega-CD. An Atari Lynx port was also being developed by NuFX but it was never released.
