Amnesia - First person adventure for the ZX Spectrum now in English!


Our good friend Asger Bonnevie gave us the heads up recently for the English release of huelvy's new ZX Spectrum game ' Amnesia ',  which was developed using the Freescape engine "3D Construction Kit". First released in Spanish and now fully translated, this is a first person action/adventure game in which you start in a prison cell, with no memory of how you got there, and who you are. The only beginings to your story is a gun in your hand and a corpse in front of you.

Life on Mars - High quality MSX2 game available for pre-order!


If games such as Metroid are to your liking and you have an MSX2, then it would be well your time checking out the latest MSX 2 game, ' Life on Mars ' which is due this week in Spanish and in 10 days the English version. Developed by Kai Magazine, Life on Mars is an action platformer that features high quality graphics and music, with an included minigame called Bomb Tournament. A multiplayer game (2 or 3 players battle) with the option of selecting any of the six maps or musics shown in the main game.

Time of Silence 2 - C64 second place adventure winner is getting a sequel


Last month we had the fantastic English release of Claus's F64 Game Competition entry "Zeit der Stille" ("Time of Silence") which came second place in the Forum64 Adventure Competition 2015. An Adventure RPG with high grade music and smooth scrolling has been given a mention again today as we've been informed it's going to get a sequel in the ' Time of Silence 2 '.

The Amiga and ZX Spectrum has had it's turn this week for special games, now it's the C64's turn with the fantastic English release of Claus's F64 Game Competition entry "Zeit der Stille" ("Time of Silence"). Coming second place in the competition, Time of Silence is an Adventure RPG with high grade music and smooth scrolling as you try to survive using unique abilities in a world overcome by disease and decay.

The Wasps and the Apples - Hokuto Force buzzes its way onto your C64


After the previous re-release of the excellent C64 classic The Last Ninja, with some added extra's, you would think that Hokuto Force would be taking a break, but not so.. As they've now released ' The Wasps and the Apples ' for the C64; which is an arcade style game that has been translated into English from German, with added trainer and a cool crack-tro.

Curse of the Blue Lights : The Video Game - A Sierra style adaptation!


We haven't had a game like this for awhile, a PC adventure by the name of ' Curse of the Blue Lights ' which is in a similar style to the classic games of Sierra but based on a 1987 movie. Developed by an Hungarian team, this 80's style game tells the story of ghouls and zombies that feed on human flesh to bring about the reincarnation of a half-buried evil mythical creature. It's down to you as the protagonist to fight and survive this ancient curse and rescue his girlfriend.

Aquanoids - High quality ZX Spectrum homebrew is now available


Just last week we gave you the exclusive heads up over Neil Parsons (Program Bytes 48k) homebrew underwater action game that was due to be released on Sunday (link). Well that day has come and we can officially announce that the final release of 'Aquanoids' for the ZX Spectrum, which is powered by the Mojon Twins MK2 engine is now here. Available in both English and Spanish, you play as the robot AQ-5 and are tasked with exploring the depths of the ocean to recover batteries and lost items, while also avoiding enemy squids, crabs and other such nasties in the deep under water depths.

Futurama Professor Vetus I presume - Yet another adventuring fan game in the works!


When we first mentioned Arjon van Dam's adventure game based on Futurama we knew it was going to be very popular with our readers but we didn't expect it to be the top most viewed article this month. So without further-ado it's time to mention another adventure game based on Futurama titled 'Futurama Professor Vetus I presume', and this one is by Iker Maya which looks to be more feature packed and already has a game play video.

GOG goes German with a HUGE Herzlich Willkommen! Promo


GOG is really pushing out those deals and no sooner had we finished the previous weekend picks but GOG has now gone slightly German. Because of their worldwide coverage it stands to reason why they need more languages and thus they have a German version of the website via a drop down menu, a German customer support team and of course more games in German. Athanor - A new Amstrad CPC (and Oric) graphical adventure game in English!


Some months back we mentioned a new text based adventure titled 'Athanor', developed by Safar Games that was available for 3 or 3,5 inch disk, with a .possible free DSK version later for Amstrad CPC and Oric based systems. Although the game was only in French and featuring a typical 80's style North, South, East command interface, Safar has contacted us today to announce the release of the English version.

Ambermoon - Incredible classic RPG - Amiga HD install ready!


After much nagging by myself, Ambermoon is now available in an easily playable HD package for your Amiga. Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga by Thalion Software, Ambermoon was the second part of an unfinished trilogy and sequel to Amberstar that was only released in Germany. In was an incredible RPG for it's time, and featured 3D graphics that were considered revolutionary for the Amiga, but sadly for the company it couldn't save them from collapse.

Goody The Remake - A great Spanish Retro game remade

Fighting Street - Street fighter in a new style of game play!
