We've covered the game's development numerous times over the last few years - including a look at an engine prototype from Andreas's first attempt at porting the game to the C128 in 2006. This was scrapped due to storage requirements for the game but modern C64 cartridge formats and some pestering from friends convinced Andreas to return to it for the C64. You can find out more about the game's background from Andreas and the team in our exclusive interview and readers Q&A from last year.

Classic Dungeon Crawler Eye of the Beholder gets a BIG DarkwyndPT review!
It’s a whole new year and I made a New Year’s resolution: I decided to try finishing any past games I left unfinished before trying any new game and that includes today’s subject, Eye of the Beholder!
Eye of the Beholder is a dungeon-crawling RPG developed by Westwood Studios and published by SSI. It was originally released in 1991 for the Amiga and DOS. It was ported in 1992 for the PC-98 and in 1994 for the SNES/Super Nintendo and the Sega Mega-CD. An Atari Lynx port was also being developed by NuFX but it was never released.
But as always, let’s first look at the covers:
Aeon of Sands - The Trail - A dark and twisted dungeon crawler is coming December 4, 2018 on Steam!
Don't get me wrong I love dungeon crawlers, Eye of the Beholder, Lands of Lore and even Dungeon Master. But I've always wanted something with a much more darker tone, something that really gives the genre a much needed shake up. Thankfully it looks as if Two Bits Kid in development dungeon crawler of Aeon of Sands is about to do just that! As according to them this is a post-apocalyptic RPG, set in a dangerously pixelated desert world that eats people, and even has a taste for city clerks such as yourself!
