Spaceman Splorf: Planet of Doom - Pico-8 port of Pondsoft's C64 casual game
One of the most common uses for the Pico-8 game creation tool is for people to re-make classic games from the 8-bit era using P8's differently limited set of constraints, or to DE-make more modern games from 16-bit and later platforms. But Spaceman Splorf: Planet of Doom is something slightly different... it's a port of a modern release on C64 so it actually represents a true port, made at around the same time as the original, and it's really well done!
1980's Sega Master Game 'Transbot' remade in HD!
Way back in the mid 1980's Sega released the sci-fi themed Transformers inspired shoot 'em up ' Transbot ' for the Sega Master System, a game in which you play as the CA-214, a starfighter that could transform from a space ship into a large mech robot that could also destroy waves of enemies while also picking up power ups to enable you to use a variety of six weapons. Sheep it Up - Baaaaah new Gameboy cartridge game goes online for FREE!
It's strange to think that not long ago I found my original Gameboy, which was lost for all those years with only memories to go by. Thankfully after finding it and looking out for more games, I was pleased to hear that games were still being developed for it such as this one ' Sheep it Up ' by LudoScience and Catskull Games. The idea behind this arcade game is rather unusual, climb as high as you can by hanging yourself from flying velctro straps while trying not to fall.

Hunter - Action/Adventure classic that's well worth playing!
Let's go back in time, right back to 1991 when Activsion released 'Hunter' for the Amiga and Atari ST. An action-adventure game that by today's view point would be classed as a Battlefield 4, Grand Theft Auto and Far Cry mix. Expansive, open worlds, a military theme, and the focus on small squads of soldiers or lone heroes. A high grade 3D game with sandbox-type game play, developed by Paul Holmes and music by Martin Walker. If you remember the title, you'll be very pleased to know that Gamesnostalgia's latest edition to its download and play on PC list is Hunter!
