Magic & Legend: Time Knights - Welcome to a new Gameboy and Game Boy Colour game!

The Game Boy was a huge part of my childhood, games such as Tetris, Mario and even PaperBoy was played for many hours, even when trying to see the damn thing on long haul travels. So to see a new Game Boy and Game Boy Colour game called ' Magic & Legend: Time Knights ' announced as available for purchase, I just had to give it a shout out! You see this game doesn't just have lots of dynamic levels, but there's a ton of gameplay to be had in this new game from Giles Hamson and his two kids (4 & 5yr olds).

So to see a new Game Boy and Game Boy Colour game called ' Magic & Legend: Time Knights ' announced just recently through twitter, I just had to give it a shout out! You see this game doesn't just have 5 dynamic levels, but there's a ton of gameplay to be had in this upcoming game from Giles Hamson and his two kids (4 & 5yr olds)!

So to see a new platformer game called ' Ruby & Rusty - Save the Crows ' announced through Bitmap Soft for the Game Boy certainly made my day! You see this game isn't just for the Game Boy, but it's being developed by Max Oakland contained within an original box with gorgeous art work.

It's time to give the Game Boy some much needed attention, as if you're looking for a new boxed game to buy that is being published by our good friends Bitmap Soft, then make sure to check out MHZ Games latest puzzle game of 'Pineapple Kid'; A game which not only tells the story of Pineapple Kid, who is on a personal quest to challenge a legendary Tower that appears once every 100 years. GBJAM 8 - Lots of great games submitted to the latest GameBoy Jam!


What a great early part of the week for retro games, as during the latest GBJAM 8, over 200 games were submitted for voting to be a successful entry in the GameBoy themed Jam. A jam in which gamers from around the world were given the opportunity to create any game they wish, as long as it looked like a Game Boy game. In fact it was such a great competition that we even had the pleasure of playing the rather cool game of 'GBNOID' ; a game inspired by the classic Cybernoid by Raffaele Cecco!

So to see a new game called ' Invasion 1984 ' announced for the highly sought after handheld, I just had to sit up and take notice!

The Tragic Tale of Bark Scruffalo - Retro inspired action game in a Game Boy style


As a fan of the Gameboy and all those games that are inspired by that great hand held, I was pleased to see that Polynaut had released his retro inspired action game of ' The Tragic Tale of Bark Scruffalo', that looks very much like a Gameboy game but is available for the PC. In this game you play as a faithful Dog owner who must protect a lovable pet Bark Scruffalo at all costs from creepy creatures spawning out of the unknown.

GBJAM 4 - Game Jolt game development jam in a Game Boy style


If creating C64 games for the 2015 C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition isn't to your liking, then we have just the #GBJAM for you. It is of course Game Jolt's 'GBJAM 4', in which people around the world have been given the opportunity to create any game they wish, as long as it looks like a Game Boy game in 4 colours, with a screen resolution of 160px x 144px. So if you've got the creativity and want to have a go, make sure to place your entry from August 8st - August 18th, with closing dates by August 18th at 23:59.

The Legend of Traxtor - Space puzzler in a game boy theme


The #GBJAM3 is still progressing with lots of cool games developed in a game boy theme and today we have a pretty fun game to show you in the form of "The Legend of Traxtor". Developed by Reidrac the aim of this game is to use your ships tractor beam and match the shaped blocks to destroy them. The more blocks you remove, the higher the score and the higher the level of difficulty.

Axria Retro World Review - 8-Bit Sidescroller in a Game Boy style!


Today I have for you an interesting game developed by Angus J. Beer! It's called Axria: retro world. Now I want to point something out before you all come over my place to piddle through my letter box. I do know the creator, in fact he is one of my best friends. But this does NOT mean he gets a free pass! If there is something wrong with his games then I will point them out! And if he makes a terrible game then I will say that it's terrible, no rose tinted glasses on my face.
