Stormfinch - ZX Spectrum shoot em up with a fantastic full release!


It's Monday and you know what that means, more awesome games for the week ahead. So to begin with we have an update to Stonechat Productions shoot em up 'Stormfinch' of which we mentioned a while ago to the ZX gaming community. Developed using the 'Nirvana Engine', Stormfinch has now been pushed out of an early build into a full release and boy is it good!

Not A Hero - Ass kicking platformer is now available on Steam!


An awesome bit of news has reached our inbox from one of our readers of the announced release of 'Not A Hero' developed by Roll7 and published by Devolver Digital, an ass kicking platformer that features a number of heroes, wielding firepower and having unique skills such as the ability to shoot, slide, dive and take cover!  Eliminate the criminal underworld of the city’s three major districts and persuade undecided voters to your cause, tackling the issues that matter by putting a gun in the mouth of those issues.

Canvaleon - Stealth Platformer coming to Wii U June 18th!


We usually don't feature Wii U games purely for the fact that I don't actually have one, but when the developers OXiAB Game Studio gave us the shout out to mention their latest game 'Canvaleon' we thought we'd do just that. Classed as a stealth platformer you play as a Chameleon that has to resort to using the environment and his or her skills to slip past enemies and threats.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Very impressive CGI launch trailer!


Even though we are a bit late on this one due to a family issue, we just had to mention an impressive Launch Cinematic trailer for 'The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt' which has since been released by CD Projekt RED. At first you'll think the trailer is real as the detail is just incredible for a CGI, however with all the talk of downgrades across the internet, I'm still very much looking forward to exploring the Northern Realms, visiting merchant cities, mysterious islands and forgotten caverns while fighting creatures and solving many of the quests in this fantastic looking RPG

AURION Legacy of the Kori-Odan - Action fantasy game gets a new combo trailer


Action RPG's seem to be the in thing this week as another action RPG has now appeared which not only has a new trailer showing of climbing, combo, menu and walkthroughs but has also gathered a new publisher by the name of  Plug-In-Digital. This is AURION: Legacy of the Kori-Odan and you play as Enzo Kori-Odan the Prince of Zama who suffers a coup d'état from his brother in-law on the day of his coronation and marriage with Erine Evou. Exiled, you will need to fight your way through and gather enough support to reunite your Aurionic Heritage to retrieve the throne.

The Mystery of Oak Island - A thrilling adventure Kickstarter from the creators of Zak McKracken between time and space!


From the creators of the incredible adventure Zak McKracken between time and space, Visionaire Studios have announced through Kickstarter, 'The Mystery of Oak Island', which is a new point and click adventure game that is inspired by the golden classics of the past. Unlike other adventure games that have come and gone through Kickstarter this one is at the top of my list, mainly due to the fact that the company behind this game is also the developer of Visionaire Studio 4, which is a powerful tool used for creating incredible adventure games such as Deponia, The Chains of Satinav and other well known greats.

Dungeon Kingdom - Retro inspired Dungeon Crawler gets new screenshots, Early Access SOON!


After the very successful Steam Greenlight campaign, the developers behind the most impressive looking Dungeon Crawler 'Dungeon Kingdom' have announced both an early access date which is for the end of May and some brand new screenshots to wet your gaming appetite. Although the game was not an Indiegogo success, the developers have not given up on the game and now it looks better than ever with multiple dungeons, continuous non loading levels, cross platform saving, advanced graphics, real physics using PhysX, advanced AI, advanced navigation systems, modern features such as achievements and a strong story design.

Bundle Stars - Classic adventuring with the Tex Murphy Bundle


As if this day couldn't get any better as Bundle Stars has just launched the 'Tex Murphy Bundle'; a fantastic series of 5 Tex Murphy adventure games designed by Chris Jones and portrayed in live action by Chris Jones himself! These are some of the greatest adventure games ever released with a fantastic story for each one, as you play as a down-on-his-luck private investigator in a post-nuclear future San Francisco, full of digitized actors and FMV!

Zak McKracken between time and space - Adventure classic gets a worthy follow up!


Glorious news for adventure fans across the globe, as The Artificial Hair Brothers have announced the directors cut release of Zak McKracken : between time and space; an unofficial sequel to the all time classic adventure game "Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. First released in October 1988 by Lucasfilm Games (LucasArts) and the second game to use the SCUMM engine, after Maniac Mansion has now got a worthy follow up to this retro gaming classic.

Solomon's Key 1 & 2 - Amiga CD32 gets two never officially released games!


After nearly 2 months of silence from Earok, creator of the brilliant Amiga CD32 ports, we now have a brand new double release for the Amiga CD32 in the form of Solomon's Key 1 and 2. Classed as guest releases, this time by Cobe, these are two special games that have never received a commercial Amiga release. Solomon's Key 1 is an Atari ST port hacked to work on the Amiga and Solomon's Key 2 is an unofficial ground up rewrite of the NES exclusive.

Dungeons of Aledorn is inspired by hardcore classic RPGs such as Betrayal at Krondor and Kings Bounty but with gorgeous detail and time-tested principles of a deep and enjoyable dungeon crawler.

Dead Flesh Boy - Meat Boy demake for the ZX Spectrum!


As if this week couldn't get any better, as Andrew Vanbeck of the World of Spectrum forum's has just announced the release of 'Dead Flesh Boy'; a ZX Spectrum demake of the highly challenging gory game ' Meat Boy '. Originally released in 2010 onwards for the PC and XBOX, you play as a cube-shaped character called Meat Boy, who must save his girlfriend Bandage Girl from the evil scientist Dr. Fetus. Avoid saw blades, falling blocks and other obstacles while running and jumping across multiple platforms and avoiding a horrific bloody death.

Futurama - TV fan based Adventure game is looking mighty fine!


The sun is shining and it's feeling warm so how could it possibly get any better? Well how about the fact that Arjon Van Dam has just contacted us to tell you of a new update to his fan based Adventure game of 'Futurama'. Developed using AGS (Adventure Game Studio) for the PC with no release date as of yet, this TV inspired game will be very similar to games such as Kings Quest and Space Quest but have all of your favorite characters such as Bender, Fry, Leela and many more! These latest videos will not only show you just how far the game has come in development including two new areas, but they may also make you chuckle!

Umbra - Action RPG, powered by CryEngine3 gets a new video teaser!


If slaughtering enemies in games such as Diablo 2, Torchlight or Titan Quest are your idea of fun, then come and take a look at the latest announced action RPG, 'Umbra' developed by SolarFall Games. Powered by CryEngine 3, 'Umbra' blends the hack and slash game play with state of the art graphics and truly modern AI inspired by the hit classic Diablo 2. In the release news, the developers have released a new video teaser showing the game play mechanics such as resource opposition and elemental effect interaction.

Red Goddess - Mind exploring game gets an intro trailer!


Yanim Studio has contacted us to let us know that their latest Action Adventure game ' Red Goddess' which not only has a brand new trailer but also some impressive screenshots. In this beautiful looking game you play as the emotions of the Divine, where by you explore her mind, deep inside the subconscious, to try and remember and recover her own powers. Red Goddess is an action/adventure game, with fun controls, and very special "Spit character" and "Possession gameplays".

Station - Flashback inspired psychological terror gets a Kickstarter


Those of you who like a good psychological horror story may be interested to know that Well-Lit Room has announced that their latest Kickstarter campaign for a Flashback inspired psychological terror game titled 'Station' has now begun. Inspired by old adventure games such as Another World (Out of This World) and Flashback, you play as a crew member of a routine expedition that has gone  very badly wrong, an incident has turned the under water mining facility into a death trap with insane crew members and the aim is to get out as quickly as possible!

Ski Master - Skiing Arcade fun for the SMS


If you have a Sega Master System with a Megaever Drive or have an Emulator, then you are in for an arcade treat, as another SMS release for the coding competition 2015 has appeared. With similarities to Horace Goes Skiing, in 'Ski Master' by efry, Niloct, edwin diaz you play as a skier on a downhill race to reach the finish line.

Zombi Terror - Zombie adventure ported to the SMS


Fans of The Walking Dead might want to come and check out the latest adventure 'Zombi Terror' release for the Sega Master System by Paulo Silva, in which you explore an island avoiding Zombies and finding new areas for protection. Available in multiple formats including the C64. ZX, MSX, and PC you must move through different locations, performing special actions such as North and South while battling it out with horrific Zombies by the means of a dice rolling system.

Duck Out - An actual Amstrad CPC game in the works!


Over these last few days a few members have been commenting that we don't do enough Amstrad CPC releases, which to be fair is true, however this is difficult for us because there hasn't really been any new CPC titles to talk about unlike the C64 and ZX Spectrum. But today we do have a game to show you called 'Duck Out', originally by Dro Soft that is currently being ported to the Amstrad CPC!
