Demons of Dex - Brand new roguelike released on the C64
Firequest +6DGF - Hokuto Force latest release is a fire hazard on the C64
It's time to give the C64 some love now with the latest C64 trainered game ' Firequest +6DGF' released by Hokuto Force. Originally released way back in 1984 by Chris Morris, the aim of this game is to traverse the 7 difficult levels as the character UGH in search of fire. Most likely because he's a bit hungry and needs to cook those sausages. Thanks to Hokuto Force not only have they bugfixed Firequest, but they've also added additional graphics, a brilliant cracktro, included a +6 trainer and as an added bonus it's now NTSC fixed.
The Sea Voyagers &D - Explore the New World on your old C64 computer
Inspired by an Ebay find, MadMax of Mad Hacker's Incorporated teamed up with Hokuto Force for a new release of The Sea Voyagers (1984). This release adds the game's manual, and comes with a photo of the keyboard overlay, which you'll need to play the game. This is a mainly text based interactive history lesson, don't expect any arcade thrills or pirating glory. But if you've got any interest in knowing a little bit more about early European explorers, or would like to test your knowledge, or have kids who like history, then this is definitely worth checking out.
Ghost Chaser +5D - Harry and the Haunted House (C64) reviewed by HayesMaker
Digital historians Hokuto Force have been busy again. Firstly this crack of Artworx and US Gold's 1984 Ghost Busters cash in: Ghost Chaser. And also a release of Andrea Rosa's mid 1990s interpretation of a Risk style global domination board game: 'World Conquest'. Which was only released recently when the author rediscovered his source code. Hopefully we'll post a review of that shortly. Meanwhile poor Harry the Ghost Chaser, he's so brave he decides dives head first into the upstairs window of the first haunted house he finds only to spend most of his time getting chased by ghosts!
SCUMM Mock-up V0.14 - Monkey Island 2 on the C64 is a real possibility
Hokuto Force have kicked it up a notch in the adventure genre as they have just released the latest SCUMM Mock-up V0.14 for your C64 as a project by TCE/HF. But that is not all as this latest project is based on the famous adventure game Monkey Island 2, a game released way back in the early 90's and developed by Lucasfilm Games which had all the charm, comedy and gameplay you could ever want in an adventure pirate game. So load it up, interact with the foreground and inventory for the very first time, and hope we see Monkey Island 2 and many other SCUMM games on the C64!

Challenge of the Gobots on the Moebius Strip +5DGH - Hokuto Force's latest C64 release
Mainly because Gobots were cheaper than Transformers, I collected the Gobot toys. I really liked the cartoons too. And because the toys were smaller than transformers, the battle scenes a child could recreate were more epic in scale. I never played the game though, but thanks to Hokuto Force, I can relive my childhood in video game form thanks to another awesome Commodore 64 release.
Scout +5DGH - Hold onto your woggle, another C64 release from Hokuto Force!
Back in the day, I was in the Scouts, and remember plenty of arguments over the camp fire over whose 8-bit computers were better (C64 Obviously!). This game is nothing to do with those Scouts though, this is a sci fi blaster from 1988, developed by Reptilia Design and published by Mastertronic. Set in a hostile star system, you find yourself in bad shape following a disastrous hyperspace jump which has left you lost and ship wrecked. Your last hope is to salvage what you can from the damaged starship by piloting your scout ship across 8 hostile planets' surfaces to find the missing parts to your ship. Which would be hard enough even without the entire planets' inhabitants deciding to greet you by trying to destroy you.
Scare Bear +4DGH - Toy bear in motorway killing spree!
The only limitations games had back in the 8 bit era, were the fertile imaginations of the sometimes utterly bonkers game developers... And that's why games like this one on the Commodore 64 got commercial releases. 1987 Alternative Software's Scare Bear features Freddy Bear, who has fallen asleep hungry for a cheese sandwich, and found himself in a dream... Speeding along the motorway being attacked by toy robots, worms, airships and many other deadly toys and only his fast car and a pot of auto refilling nuclear honey to stop them with. Hokuto Force have rescued yet another of gaming's underdogs from obscurity with this brand new release on the CSDb.
KGB Agent +4DH - Hokuto Force helps you out in this rather poor C64 game
In 1987 Pirate Software, released the rather unknown action game ' KGB Agent ' for the C64. It involved you as a KGB Agent, shooting at bad guys, picking up items and avoiding being shot at to gain an ever higher score. Today however Hokuto Force have re-released the game but this time as KGB Agent +4DH which comes with a +4 trainer and high score saver.
The Happiest Days of Your Life +3DM - More like high school blues.
Rock Star Ate My Hamster +2DG - Musical pr disaster for the C64
Super Monaco GP +6DG - Hokuto Force is aiming for pole position in this C64 release
In the early 90's Sega with publishing rights by US Gold, released the Arcade racing game of ' Super Monaco GP ' on a multitude of systems including the C64. It had a brilliant soundtrack by Jeroen Tel and required you the racer, to both qualify and then win the Grand Prix of Monaco! That same game has once again appeared today, but this time by Hokuto Force as ' Super Monaco GP +6DG ', which was done for a request from an HF fan and features 6 trainers and the speccy original pic + dox in a separate file
Heathcliff +DGMF - Lets have fun with spelling on the C64
In 1984 Datasoft and developed by Robert Bobbio released the child friendly game of ' Heathcliff - Fun with Spelling ' for the C64. It was an educational game for kids and based on the brilliant cartoon show of the same name. The aim of the game was to catch the mice that float from the window sill using balloons that have the correct letters to spell the word at the top of the game. So if FUN was missing a U, you'd have to catch the U floating mouse. But be careful one wrong mousy and it's a big oops! Thanks to Hokuto Force, they've released the game again but this time with enhancements like bug fixes, graphics and an option to make it more challenging for adults!
Shockway Rider +6DGH - Hokuto Force trainers a rage worthy C64 game
Hokuto Force is at it again as they've released another C64 game with a trainer, and boy does this one need it! Originally from 1986 by FTL/Gargoyle, ' Shockway Rider ' is a futuristic game in which the speedy player must go through multiple districts using rapidly-moving side walks known as the Shockway. This also means you need to avoid citizens, objects and those that wish to attack you in a feat known as going full circle.
Frogger II - Three Deep +4D - Hokuto Force trainers another popular classic!
While we wait for the upcoming Arcade C64 remake of Konami's 1981 Arcade classic of Frogger. The scene guru's Hokuto Force have recently released Frogger II - Three Deep +4D for the C64. Originally developed by the Parker Brothers and published by Sega Enterprises in 1984, Frogger II is the sequel to the first game and although it features very similar gameplay with your Frog character having to reach the top of the screen with each berth, this one features three consecutive screens for each level rather than one per level.
Encounter +3DIG - Hokuto Force's next C64 release is a bit of a 3D shooter!
Hokuto Force are on form again as with all the releases so far this year, we've got another one to mention and this one is a game that is very similar to the Arcade game of Battlezone but for the C64. Called ' Encounter ' and originally released in 1984 by Paul Woakes through Novagen Software in the UK and Synapse in the USA. This is a first person shooter and features eight environments, three difficulty levels and a rather unique 3-D graphical style with scaled sprites instead of wireframe 3D graphics. Thanks to Hokuto Force they have released the disk based version, which included more features compared the Novagen one, plus a trainer, loader system replacement by Arcane, menu system improvement by Arcane and bug fixes.
Avenger +5DG - C64 Gauntlet clone with new graphics by Oliver Orosz
Just recently over the weekend, Hokuto Force released the Gauntlet clone of ' Avenger +5DG ' for the C64, which originally was released way back in 1987 by Gremlin. This latest update has a brand new crack, with a new trainer and awesome graphics by Oliver Orosz, the same person behind the games Jani and graphical designs for Mystic Mansion and Guardian. In Avenger you play as a Ninja and after successfully completing your training, must avenge your step father and take back the scrolls of Ketsuin from the wicked Yaemon to appease the God kwon and release from eternal hell.

Beppe Kid +3DEM 101% - Hokuto Force bug fixes a rare italian C64 game
Hokuto Force were really sneaky to get this game past our attention, as we have only just found out from one of our good friends, that Hokuto Force has released a very rare Italian C64 game called 'Beppe Kid' +3DEM 101% that comes with a huge number of fixes. In fact this game is so rare from the 80's, that most of our readers probably haven't heard of it, which is a shame as it isn't half bad.
Mystic Mansion +3DG - Hokuto Force cracks a creepy C64 classic
Hokuto Force is back and this time they have brought a new member along for the ride. Say hello to Zaphod as he has cracked his very first scene game for the C64, ' Mystic Mansion '.
