Desert Golf - One small gameplay idea distilled and refined to perfection.

This is one of those games that made me step back and think about how I design games. I think I go too wide too fast when developing a game. For example if i were working on a platformer I might get a player with some basic movement then move on to working on a set of levels and then some enemies. The problem is that because I didn’t focus enough on making the movement and feel of the game good at the stage when I made the player, the rest of the game suffered. Desert Golf on the other hand is one small gameplay idea distilled and refined to perfection.

Werewolf Tycoon - A simulation of a Big Bad Wolf! (Recommended!)

We've been keeping an eye on this game in development for some time through twitter and we are happy to report that "Werewolf Tycoon" by Joe Williamson is now available to play in your browser. A flash port of the mobile game, you are a big bad wolf of Werewolf Park and must eat as many people as you can. Be careful though, don't get seen and let the witnesses escape as if it ends up too much, you'll have the army after you. A fantastic game indeed, full of fun , cool music and a great art style! Probably the best flash game we've played this month!

Callys Caves 2 - Platforming release for iOS devices

Old school platformers takes me back to some fond memories of Rick dangerous, Magic Pockets and Gods to name but a few. But Callys Caves 2 developed by Jordan Pearson has chosen to go for what I would describe as a 12 bit styling. Definitely higher def graphics than 8 bit games were but not quite as good as the 16 bit games that followed. Available for iOS I had a look at the game and gave it my very short play through.
