It's Commodore Amiga news time! Welcome to Elevator Action for the Amiga! A new conversion update by JOTD and team which has now been released as a final ECS build ( Previously released as AGA). A game that was originally released in 1983 in the arcades. Basically you are a spy who has must infiltrate a building with a ton of doors and elevators, hence the name. The important documents for the mission are only in the red doors and you must get to the documents on certain floors and reach the awaiting car near the basement.

An early morning heads up for you all, as we've just found out through Saberman that the previously teased Arcade to Amiga conversion of the 1980's Arcade game of Elevator Action by Taito Corp, has finally been released by JOTD through his itch io page. The same creator behind other awesome Arcade to Amiga conversions such as Donkey Kong, Galaga, Phoenix and Moon Patrol 500. The Amiga news has been a bit on the slow side lately, so to change all that, here's a new game announcement that is sure to excite both the Amiga and the Arcade community, it's the 1980's 'Elevator Action' by Taito Corp. A new Arcade to Amiga conversion which is coming to the Commodore Amiga thanks to JOTD! The same creator behind other awesome Arcade to Amiga conversions such as Donkey Kong, Galaga, Phoenix and Moon Patrol 500. A game that was originally developed and published by Namco Japan and by Midway in North America in 1981.

Remember when we posted about the 1981 Arcade classic of ' Galaga ' was coming to the Atari XL/XE and Atari 5200 as a high quality Arcade port by Gimmee99? Well you'll be happy to learn that if you have a Commodore Amiga however, this game originally developed and published by Namco Japan and by Midway in North America in 1981, is also coming to the Amiga thanks to the hard work of JOTD! As in his words for the latest video, "Galaga is almost playable, with gfx & game glitches: note: this is much smoother because of emulation. Final result needs optimizing and will probably run at 25Hz"
Phoenix - 1980's Arcade game by Taito for the Amiga via JOTD gets another AGA update!
As we said before, JOTD has created some amazing conversions/ports over the years. Games such as Moon Patrol, Donkey Kong, Tetris 1200 (AGA), Super Bagman, Galaxian500 and our personal favorite Super Xevious. Well if you've been following all of our updates of JOTD's latest Arcade to Amiga conversion of Phoenix. A 1980's Arcade fixed-screen shooter by Taito, with a later release in 1983 for the Atari 2600. Then as of today you play the latest version via the link below. A new update which now includes an all new AGA mode with new recoloured graphics by Toni Galvez!
Moon Patrol 500 - 1980's Arcade classic as an Amiga conversion by JOTD gets a new OCS , ECS, and enhanced AGA beta build!
We've recently found out through the EAB forums, that the previously announced Arcade to Amiga conversion of Irem's classic 1982 scrolling shooter of 'Moon Patrol' by both JOTD and no9(music), has now been updated with an AGA enhanced, ECS and OCS beta build for you to try! Basically for those of you who were complaining about just AGA, can now try lower end builds of the game all created as a transcode of Moon Patrol arcade using assembler. To coincide with this news, there's a new screenshot from the game as well as a video coming any min now.
Donkey Kong - A famous 80's game as an Arcade to Commodore Amiga conversion by JOTD!
As we said before, it was only just the other week that we informed you that JOTD, who is also behind the brilliant Arcade conversions of Galaxian and Super Xevious 1200 for the Amiga, was going to be doing another conversion/port of the classic 80's game of 'Donkey Kong'. Well thanks to a heads up from one of our readers in the comments section, we've been told that JOTD has finally released the eagerly awaited Donkey Kong 500. A transcode of Donkey Kong arcade version for the Amiga which you can see in the latest video below.
Tetris 1200 (AGA) - The 1988 Arcade version of Tetris for the Commodore Amiga
If you remember the 1980's hit game of Tetris then you'll be pleased to know that as of this morning, we have been informed that JOTD finally released the 1988 Arcade version of Tetris for the Commodore Amiga 1200. As in the words of the creator "A transcode of Atari Tetris arcade version for 68020/AGA amiga, music is kind of emulated, missing some drums & sfx but it's still really good!". To coincide with this news, not only can you play this awesome looking port right now via itch io, but Saberman has also provided some new gameplay footage too.

The 1984 game of Tetris has been mentioned many times on Indie Retro News, with new versions of the game being re-released on the Amstrad CPC, C16, Plus/4 and ZX Spectrum. Well here's another version of the game that is sure to be enjoyed by many that still love this game even today, as JOTD is developing Tetris for the Commodore 1200 as a port from the 1988 Arcade game by Atari Games. To coincide with this news, not only can you play a very early Alpha demo that's missing sound, but Saberman has provided a video of this early development.
Karate Champ - A 1980's Arcade fighting game by JOTD for the Commodore Amiga gets an update!
If you remember the 1980's game of 'Karate Champ; An Arcade fighting game that was released in the Arcades and later the Apple II, C64, NES, Virtual Console, iOS via Data East, then you might like this latest Amiga news story. As Jotd has released a new update to his Arcade like version of 'Karate Champ' for yes you guessed it the Commodore Amiga! Super Xevious 1200 - JOTD's Arcade to Commodore Amiga 1200 conversion is finally here!
Earlier this week we featured JOTD's in development Arcade to Amiga conversion of Xevious : A game that was originally released in the Arcades by Namco and then ported to other home computers. Well if you haven't played the game, as you were waiting for the final version to appear, then you are in luck! As JOTD has finally announced that both Xevious and Super Xevious have been released for the Commodore Amiga. As in the words of JOTD "published "final" version on itch. For the floppy release, Damien did a menu to start various configurations, including Super Xevious. Now matches 60Hz speed"
