Curse Of Enchantia - Core Design's classic adventure Amiga version, is now available for your PC (Remastered/Remade)

TheCompany.PL are at it again with another great Amiga-PC game release, and this time, it's none other than Curse Of Enchantia. This was a great classic adventure, that was not only fun to play, it was also rather challenging. The artwork and animation were also pretty good too! However, there was a down side, and that was that it didn't have a lot of conversation and contained simple action game sequences.  But to be fair, Curse of Enchantia was also Core Design's first attempt in the adventure genre, as they set up to compete with LucasArts and Sierra On-Line. A bold move as LucasArts/Sierra were one of the greatest adventure creators of our time. This game also appeared on the PC, though which version is better is down to personal choice.

What a great way to spend an afternoon as The Company.pl have just released/updated to version 2.6, 7 amazing Amiga-PC playable titles for your enjoyment. These games are very well known in the Amiga circles, as one of them is an all time classic.  But what makes these even better is all you have to do is download a single file and run it to play the game. There's no messing about with roms and no fiddling with Emulators as it's all done for you. This is a great list of games which include : Addams Family, Agony, Another World, Apprentice, Dyna Blaster, Rod-Land, and Atomix, all with high quality graphical filters! So lets check out that list shall we :)

Dragons Lair - An interactive animation retro experience now on Steam

Originally released in 1983 was an epic laserdisc video game that many people still remember today, and that game was Dragon's Lair, which was originaly published by Cinematronics. It was so special, in the fact that not only was it a game, but it allowed you to play in an interactive experience in a cartoon animation. You didn't just watch a cartoon, you played it! What would be a simple of task of selecting the right actions at the right time, was usually met with certain cartoon death. This was a game that was fun for all the family and is now available on steam in all it's remastered glory with Full 720p HD Videos!

Raiden Legacy - Old school Shoot Em Up brilliance now for your pc!

Get ready to drool, as DotEmu.com has just announced that Raiden Legacy, which was previously announced on here for the Android/iOS, is now available for both Mac and PC! I do love a good Shoot Em Up, and you can do no wrong with Raiden Legacy, which contains, not just 1, but 4 excellent titles : Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet. Tons of enemies, powerful weapons, huge bosses, big explosions and what's more, you'll also be pleased to know, that these are not just re-releases of classics but remastered versions, including a kick ass remastered soundtrack

Prince Of Persia - The all time classic Amiga Action Platformer is now available for your PC (Remastered/Remade)

This is turning out to be a really good day, as TheCompany.pl have released version 2.6 of the Amiga-PC playable version of Prince Of Persia. This is the hit classic Action, Platformer from 1990 onwards. This game is of true brilliance, as a multitude of platforming levels was met with falling floors, sword wielding enemies, crashing grates and at worst deadly spikes. It was a fluid game and you really felt as if the character was alive with his life like movement.

The Despicable Caverns of Deadly Doom - A retrotastic ode to the 80's of multi game modes!

Developed by BumpkinRich for the 48 Hour Compo Entry is a game not about high end graphics, but gameplay and an ode to the 80's. The developer, just like myself, remembers the days of the 80's with the Amstrad and the Spectrum and it's this, that the game era is based upon. You'll also be pleased to know that there are multi game style modes in The Despicable Caverns of Deadly Doom, so for such a small game, you'll have plenty to enjoy.

Amiga and AmigaCD32 Arcade Launchers - Two great launchers with tons of playable games!

Not long ago we posted the C64 Arcade Launcher that contained over 360 playable games, which was very popular. So now we move onto two great Amiga arcade launchers, one being the standard Amiga and the second, the Amiga CD32. Although these launchers are older than the C64 based one, there has been a post update that Retro Runners will most likely update the launcher website at some point. Both of these launchers work on Windows 7 and contain a ton of playable games, with such classics such as Monkey Island, Project X and Superfrog. All you have to do is install the launchers and run the games, pressing F12 gives you the WinUAE screen. Be warned the install size is well over 900mb with both launchers!

My new toy an Amiga 1200, but it wasn't an enjoyable ride!

Ever since I was a kid, I've always at some point had an Amiga 500 in storage. Sadly, my first Amiga 500 was dropped on the floor, thus with smashed keys I chucked every bit of it away, including the games. I've regretted that till this day, especially as the Amiga 500 gave me so much enjoyment with long term gaming sessions through the early 90's. Fast forward to now and it was time to go full pelt, and go back into the world of 32bit gaming, but this time with a vastly superior system, the Amiga 1200! Unlike the 500 this beauty of a system can be upgraded in so many ways, from 4GB cf cards to processor and huge memory upgrades. You thought the 1/2MB expansion was big on the Amiga 500, try 128MB on the 1200!

CorsixTH - Version 0.21 (Open Source Theme Hospital)

Hot News, as the latest Open Source Theme Hospital - CorsixTH version 0.21 has been released. This is the best Open Source Theme Hospital you can play. It was also released for the Android with much success and great feedback. Although this is not an original release by Bullfrog or any main selling company. This is still a damn fine looking version of Theme Hospital. This project aims to re-implement the game engine of Theme Hospital for more modern systems, with the capability of loading assets including graphics and levels from the original game.  Theme Hospital is an all time classic with humor as if it was straight from a carry on film! Design a hospital with all it's room's and objects while saving patients from the many strange diseases such as Bloated Head *POP*!

City Quest - A classic point and click adventure game with a sharp wit (Kickstarter/Demo)

City Quest is a new Adventure title with very retro graphics, to the like of classic Sierra titles such as Police Quest. It also has the charm and death rate as if it were a game of Space Quest! In this Adventure title you can die in so many different ways, which has been lacking in most Adventure games thus far. Something simple such as walking in the road can get you run over, or doing the wrong action towards a puzzle could end up with your body parts torn apart, yet in this game, it will make you laugh every time. City Quest is being developed by StoneMonkeyStudios with an estimated release date of Sept 2013!

The C64 Arcade Launcher - 360 ready to play C64 games on a single installation.

Indie Retro News has hit over 200,000 views and as a special treat we have a pretty awesome C64 Arcade Launcher to show you. But this is no ordinary launcher, as it contains over 360 playable C64 games to play right now, it's a treasure trove of Retro games. The very best classics are in this list, for example Bruce Lee and Green Beret! Without Retro Runners, this launcher wouldn't have been possible.

Bubble And Squeak - PC playable Amiga Remakes/Remastered (Platformer)

The latest PC playable Amiga Remake/Remastered game has been released and it's none other than Bubble And Squeak, the hit classic platformer from 1994! This game is very family friendly and also felt at home on the sega master system. You control a human boy called Bubble along with a recent Alien friend called Squeak on a platforming adventure. The game was very well made for its time, and featured not just Platform levels, but brief underwater shooter bonus elements!

FS-UAE developer FrodeSolheim, announces Open Amiga Game Database!

FS-UAE developer FrodeSolheim, has announced that the Open Amiga Game Database has officially gone open beta! What that means is, if you have the amazing Amiga emulator frontend FS-UAE installed and all the amiga game files : floppy images, CD images and WHDLoad games (.adf, .ipf, .zip, .rar, .iso, etc), you'll be able to use the latest configuration settings. Heaven Variant - A rather impressive Shoot Em Up

Heaven Variant is being made by Zanrai Interactive which is a 3 man indie dev team. It is a non bullet shell shoot'em up. Its game play is a homage to 3D shooters during the PSX and Saturn era, especially Einhander and Thunder force. The player will be able to transform between  a Jet and Mecha to access different fire modes.

DOOM on the ZX Spectrum

Doom was never officially released on the ZX Spectrum , nor was it released on any other system of that time. Doom was just way beyond in computer development, but now you can play it in very retro style, thanks to Digital Reality. This looks as if it was officially released on the ZX in all it's first person goodness, it's a damn fine Remake. But don't get too excited, as although you can play the game, it's just a Demo and you'll most likely need an emulator. If you can't get it to work, sit back and listen to the awesome chiptune that comes with this release!

Fantasy World Dizzy 48k - Retro Puzzle Solving Platformer (Browser Based)

Finally the fourth of the online "Load" Dizzy playable games has been released thanks to the guys of yolkfolk. This is Fantasy World Dizzy, a very classic retro game from 1989 and released on multiple systems, including this one, the 48k version. This was the first Dizzy adventure to feature many additions which later became standard for the series, such as having three lives, an improved inventory system and a balance between puzzle-solving and hazards. This game also introduced the friendly Yolkfolk: Daisy, Denzil, Dozy, Dylan and Grand-Dizzy. Good old Grand-Dizzy was my favorite, usually found in his old chair.

The Darkness Within - Another Top Quality fan based Zelda remake

If you thought Zelda: Linked To The Past was a big Zelda Quest, then The Darkness Within, which we are about to show you, is much bigger! Developed by Russ, The Darkness Within is a Zelda like game on a grand scale, that has been in development for two and a half years. This is the sequel to the brilliant Light of the Heavens and not only is it a huge game, but it's also story driven, loaded with features and has two unique characters featuring their own playstyle. If you love Zelda and love Adventure RPG's, then you can't miss out on this free fan based game.

The Perfidious Petrol Station: Nancy the Happy Whore - High quality 2D Adventure

A new 2D Adventure by Technocrat at FireFlower Games, titled The Perfidious Petrol Station: Nancy the Happy Whore has just been released with full voice overs. With the quality of the retro style graphics, it has certainly peaked our interest. But the title alone is sure to stand out, this almost has a Leisure Suit Larry vibe, but this time, you're a Happy Whore! Featuring a small length Adventure with around three hours game play and plenty of humour, you'll not want to miss this fun little gem.
